"Wichita State shouldn’t be this good. The Shockers were powered by Ron Baker and Fred VanVleet for the last four years, but now both have graduated to the pros. They were the heart and soul of these Shockers teams for what felt like an eternity. They’re gone and the Shockers aren’t.
Wichita State sits tied with the Illinois State Redbirds at the top of the Missouri Valley Conference. They don’t have a true star. Instead, Gregg Marshall has to rely on a balanced offense and a deep bench. So far, it’s working in a big way. The Shockers are 25-4 overall and made their debut in the AP Poll this week at No. 25..."Comment
