Remove any of our Top 7-8 and our team isn't the same. Marshall has definitely tightened down the minutes of our Top 8 the past several games. He plays 10 in the first half and depending on foul problems, gives minutes accordingly. A couple of players get 4-5 minutes and the rest get 8-15minutes. The second half shows the same but a couple may get only another 2-3 minutes and 7-8 get 8-15 again. It's all predicated on foul problems.l and who is playing well.

Yes, but in the last game, for the brief time that Landry was sitting in foul trouble, was the worst on offense this team has looked all year IMO.

We scored 4 points on 5 possessions during that stretch (buoyed by a tough Frankamp jumper and Nurger getting hacked + making two FTs), but proceeded to turn the ball over on 2 of our last three possessions. We certainly struggled getting open.

0.80 PPP is bad for us, even with a small sample size.

        • We will never get away from this Mid-Major reference crap until we get out of this MM conference or the conference improves to the extent that the MVC is frequently placing 3-4 teams annually in the NCAA tournament. Neither of which appears to be looking too likely, but who knows.

          Mid-Major Dynasty is totally, Crapola.

Five straight (likely 6) appearances is in my humble, UNBIASED opinion, equates to, MAJOR Div 1 BB DYNASTY, period.

If I remember correctly, when both Franksmp and Landry were on the bench was when we struggled most. Austin and Daishon just didn't run the offense well together.

When Palm was on, he should have been pressed on his obvious ties to football conferences, and his bad predictions last year regarding WSU who wins constantly in the NCAA even though Palm grades them low and constantly only on the RPI.
I still recall the time the Shocks lost at home to a woeful Evansville squad (before the Senior night crash of the FF), and it so inspired boob that he wrote an article chronicling WSU's 10 worst performances in Shocker antiquity. He was inspired. Within several games of that one Evansville went on to beat the N. Iowa team who won the conference that year. BUT, that N. Iowa team, several weeks later, went on to beat the No. 1 OVERALL seed in the NCAA's, which was none other than the Chickens! Really. Google it.
He was giving the Valley just about as much credit then (maybe less!) as he is now. He'll never learn. Too much big monday on the brain.

              • I would like to know if we are just out of the top 25, then how can we not be in the discussion for an at large? Does that not have any bearing at all?

                  None.

The AP poll voters have no say on the selection committee.

Hhmmmmm....interesting. I had not recalled that. I frequently catch part of their show on the way home, and I honestly don't detect WSU bias...MVC bias yes....but it could just be me.

                    I'll listen closer.

Austin and Daishon in at the same time is not good. At this point, Austin is a 3 point shooter and defender only. He is too frail to drive inside. Daishon just makes too many mistakes to be trusted to run the offense. Landry and Conner have to run this team from here on out period.

                        • Daishon looked like he didn't want the ball Sunday. His minutes are just defensive at this point

Did it ever occur to you Bob was correct? That loss was terrible and the following results only proved his point.

                            • Round of 32

WuShock16, I just noticed your post 3 days ago where you said that WSU has only made the Round of 32 the past 4 yrs, & not the past 5 yrs as I had previously stated. You are correct. I heard somwhere last year that it was 5 yrs, but I never checked. I went to GoShockers & looked at WSU's record for 2011-12. They lost their 1st round game at the Dance that year to VCU, 59-62.

No need to listen more closely. You just happen to use logic as you listen.
