Was last years tournament finish considered 2nd round? Hard for me to keep track exactly how they reference the play-in games. But seems to me 2011-12, Round of 64, should not be considered the same as 2015-2016, Round of 32. I guess my question, was it a mistake in the article or are both considered 2nd round?

What I've read on this subject is that WSU is one of 5 schools in the nation that have made it to the Round of 32 for the past 5 years. Of course, included in that time period is a Final 4 finish as well as a Sweet 16 finish.

I'm not sure that's accurate. WSU has only four straight years of making Round of 32. Making it this year would be the fifth.

I don't think he is anti-WSU...I think he is accurately stating that this current league, in it's current state, gives no accurate measure...I agree....

If the Shockers had done better in the early part, OR HAD A LEAGUE WHERE THEY GOT CHANCES TO MAKE UP FOR IT, they'd be in better shape....there is NO WAY that KSU is as good as WSU....but they get numerous do overs.

If the Shockers had done better in the early part, OR HAD A LEAGUE WHERE THEY GOT CHANCES TO MAKE UP FOR IT, they'd be in better shape....there is NO WAY that KSU is as good as WSU....but they get numerous do overs.

Your second line is not the fault of Lutz....it's the fault of 'the system'....I think Lutz likes this team a lot, but , like many, is frustrated by the lack of national traction BECAUSE OF THE LEAGUE....

This team with a Shaquille Morris that can play without fouling out and a Rashard Kelly/Zach Brown combo that provides leadership, defense and rebounding. This team can compete with anyone. This is not the same team that got beat twice in the Bahamas and got pasted by OSU. If I'm right, this team will not lose again until the NCAAs.

They become anti-WSU because they have nothing but negativity to present. No answers. It's the same thing, day after day. Valley is bad (truth is that no one right now has a solution). When Palm was on, he should have been pressed on his obvious ties to football conferences, and his bad predictions last year regarding WSU who wins constantly in the NCAA even though Palm grades them low and constantly only on the RPI.
