My favorite line from the entire report. This is the epitome of a 3G team. Playing with a chip on their shoulder. My excitement meter is starting to peg...

I keep hoping to open up this thread and read: "Markis has really bulked up; looks like he's added about 15-20 pounds." But I'll accept "MM doesn't need any space to go to the rack. He is sooo slippery."

Per his Snapchat story a few days ago, Markis weighed in at 202. Not sure what he was at before.

According to the official roster last year, he was 185. According to the official roster on the website right now, he's at 194. If he's 202, that's over 15 lbs gained, which is a really great sign.

Also, didn't Rauno lose something insane like 40 pounds when he got sick at the end of his first year? That is a lot of mass to regain.

Yea and something tells me the mass he is packing back on is a lot leaner than what he lost.

Duff over 200 pounds will make him a very bad, bad boy.

IMO, Markis is the best NBA prospect we've had under 3G. His combination of skill level, size & length is made for the NBA. I dont know if he'll impact in college on a game to game basis like FVV & RB, but he does project as a better NBA player.

The scouts/mocks havent really figured him out yet. I expect his stock to soar throughout this season to the point he considers an early entry next year. My money is he stays 2 more years and gets drafted 1st round in 2018.

                      • Anyone hear anything on injuries? I heard through the grapevine that we were looking at a knee injury for McD...

                              • Spoke with an assistant coach over the weekend about how things were going and he didnt mention any injuries. FWIW. He also said we will be very good this year but a potential final 4 team next year.
