  • Here is the link to the Shocker Sound from goshockers.com. Note it is part of the School of Music. http://webs.wichita.edu/?u=wsubands&...ssbbauditions/

The first reference I could find is that Hail! Wichita was written in 1962 and WSU became a state university in 1964. I remember being at a football game when it was introduced for the first time, but sadly, have no idea when that occurred.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Just as well start a GoFundMe site to save Shocker Sound and terminate a baseball and women's basketball coach.

Cost us the Louisville game and the National Championship. Just sayin.

            • They have played it at inappropriate times to be sure. If there is any choice the director has in when it is played, I wish he would use his head to determine that instead of a schedule. There were times it was played in St. Louis that I just wanted to shout "NOT NOW".

I think several things cost us the Louisville game, but I do believe this was a big part of it.

I was told that the band was told that it HAD to be played at the under 12 time out. Stupid time.

Ron passing the ball to Ehimen instead of taking a wide open 3 that could have broken Louisville comes to mind too...

And the Hancock hug, and the 1/8th second jump ball call, and the trash calls against ArmStud in the first half that had him riding the bench much of the second half, but I'm not bitter. Much.

Ugh! Hate thinking about that! He takes that shot, we win the national championship. Even if he missed, at least it wouldn't have led to the deflating missed free throws.

I would have to go back and watch the film...though I am not sure that I have any desire to do so as it would be too painful. Maybe you referenced it. With about four minutes to go, there was a jump ball called on a play that should have been a foul (it might have been a double foul that caused the jump ball). WSU got the ball back instead of free throws (and I think went blank on that next possession). So then, when the very controversial jump ball with 10 seconds left happened, I immediately thought back to the bogus jump ball earlier that switched the arrow away from WSU for that final jump ball.

Any time someone brings this up they should just be banned. They aren't wrong. But they should be banned anyway.

                              • How about freaking Tim Henderson hitting two 3's down the stretch? A guy off the bench (A walk on even? Can't remember) who hardly played and hardly ever scored. If he misses those, like he should have statistically speaking, we win. He still haunts my nightmares.
