Coach Heiar compared Daishon Smith to Wes Washpun so another combo that Gregg would want is
    Willis at 5
    Duff at 4
    Allen 3
    Shamet or CF 2
    Daishon 1
To spread everyone out and isolate Daishon for driving to the hole and dishing if someone helps on him.

I don't want to put any pressure on you folks, but this needs to be settled quickly. Only seven months until the start of the season!

I'd like to see Hamilton play his way into the rotation at the 4 and/or 5. I love his energy and athleticism. This is a huge off-season for him, time to step up.

I agree with this 100%. I have very high hopes for Hamilton. He seems like an Alex Poythress type, with perhaps a better jump shot. Just need him to figure out our system.

If Hamilton can get it, by next year he will be better than anything we have at the 4 or 5. But that's a big if.

If he doesn't get it by next year, he's either not smart (bb iq wise) or hardheaded and uncoachable.

If he can learn the play book the sky is the limit! He an absolute monster. I was just shocked that when I went to practice to watch them that was his issue honestly.

We've all seen him for short spurts and during the dunking contest. He is physically as talented as anyone we've seen but he often disappears and becomes indivisible.

That's why I love it. I'm looking forward to telling lots of dad jokes someday.

I guess I just don't understand the "often disappears" and short spurts comments. Even though he has trouble with the plays (he was a freshman), on a per 40 basis, he average over 22 points, almost 11 rebounds, and shot 10 FT. How does one only play 120 minutes for the season and come up with those numbers and often disappear?

He also had good numbers in games he played longer: Charleston 15 minutes, 13 points, 7 rebounds; Iowa 17 minutes, 14 points, 5 rebounds; Nevada 12 minutes, 6 points; Bradley 8 minutes, 4 points, 3 rebounds; in 2 Mo St games played 10 minutes, 11 points, 3 rebounds. For the season, he played in 21 games and scored in all but 5. He only played an average of 2.8 minutes in those 5 games.

I only report what I saw, not stats. It's true he got hot a few times. He hit some threes and made some free throws. He takes a lot of shots. He plays good one on one, but to me, he also was put into games and he just ran up and down the court. He looked like a puppy dog without a clue about how to contribute to others successes. Ty Taylor was good at this too imo. But if all you look at is statistics, you probably think he will be the next AA. I will agree that talent wise, he could be that good.

I hope so too. The guy has tons of talent...just needs to funnel his energy in the right areas. Tremendous upside
