I've known about this for years.There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Back when UNI was admitted, they really weren't. But Drake needed a travel partner, so they were kind of, sort of, allowed to be in the Valley for scheduling purposes, but not really in the league. Wichita State, Creighton, Southern Illinois, Illinois State and Bradley all voted against UNI. Without a majority, UNI began full round robin play as a Valley travel partner, but not a member. At the time, not everybody played baseball, so UNI was allowed to play in the postseason Valley baseball tournament, just to fill a slot. Then each sport kind of just worked into post season tourneys. Now, everyone just considers UNI a member when they really aren't.Originally posted by Kung Wu View Post
