I think TT may be the best player to trfr out under Marshall. He had an impossible task early in the season because there wasn't an experienced backup PG on the team. It's not Taylor's fault that he sucked early in his Fr year. Any Fr PG who didn't would likely be NBA after a year or 2.
I'm seeing posts about Reaves being a pass-first PG. Reaves averaged 38 in 32-minute games. He put up 70+ in a game. He had an 8-minute quarter where he put up 33. Those stats don't indicate a pass-first PG. Watch the highlights. Reaves was also the tallest player on the court. There is mothing that indicates Reaves has been anything other than the guy responsible for putting points on the scoreboard - against smaller players who did not have D1 (or NAIA) quickness.
Bowles, Holland, Henderson, Taylor. We'll never know about Bowles, but that's 4 consecutive future PG's that didn't last past their Fr year.
Baker and VanVleet both passed up going NBA to make a run at a NC this year. Passing up being a second-round pick isn't hard. Neither was likely to get a guaranteed contract. Unfortunately, after this year, they may be looking at undrafted free agent status. Both probably could have gone second round last year.
One of the underclassmen needs to get all the non-seniors together and start doing stuff with just that group. Baker and VanVleet are no longer the leaderrs. I couldn't blame them (RB and FVV) for having some attitude about the underclassmen. Baker and VanVleet sticking around another year ended up costing them a lot of $$.
