So if I'm understanding this correctly, they've underperformed for their seed line both in the last ten years, and in the last 15 years, although it has been by a very small margin, so they are just barely below average compared to others given the same seed during the same amount of years. Does that sound accurate, or am I misinterpreting something?

Georgetown on the other hand is FAR below average, for all teams receiving the same seeds over the same period of time.

So Kellen hit a nerve in Rock Chalk town, too bad. I suppose there still butt-hurt over losing to Nova. The Beakers are just looking for someone to vent on and the head Shockers son, why not. I always get a kick when they start spouting off there list of NCAA accomplishments. Impressive indeed, but it should come with an astrick. We all know the so-called blue bloods get the path of least resistance..it's no wonder they have such inflated numbers. When your automatically put in every year your bound to do something with all those McDonald AA and one and dones. Well done Jayhawkers.

I truly believe if your a 1-2 seed every year you should at least make it to elite 8. Anything else is a upset.

So, if I am correct in understanding your numbers, that would mean over the last 4 years KU was expected to have 11.58 wins over the last 4 years. Instead, they have 7. Therefore, I stand by my statement. In that time, KU had only 1 win against a team seeded 7 or higher. Spin it as you wish and I will do the same.

Edit: I understand I referenced Bucknell and Bradley, therefore my statement goes back the last 10 years. This was an over site on my part. I essentially meant the same period of Villanova's disappointment.

1) Yes, my expected numbers include a 100% chance the 1 will beat the 16, because that is the winning % history has shown so far. The "bye" is factored into the expected win totals, so ignoring those games doesn't really change anything.

2) That second paragraph was a surprise. I thought for sure you were preparing to slam KU, but then your conclusion was that Self's tournament record is impressive. Didn't see that coming.
