What are the situations in which no foul shots are granted even when the team fouled is in the bonus? I.e. Graham's rugby tackle last night and a couple other instances I've seen during the tournament?

The officials maintained that KU still had possession and therefore it was a player control foul with no shots appropriate.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

For about six to ten examples of a "player control foul", watch FVV in the Seton Hall game.

No free throws are ever shot on a team control foul, no matter what the bonus situation is. If any player of the team on offense commits a foul, whether it be an illegal screen, a charge, a push down low, etc etc, it's considered a team control foul and no free throws are shot. Hope that answers your question.

I've always wondered why it does not apply to fouls by an offensive player on a rebound. It seems to me that it should still be player control until the defensive team establishes possession. Nothing worse than a phantom push off leading to free throws at the other end.

Because team control is lost when a player attempts a shot.

How can a team possess a shot?
