Ron was good, one of the best players on the floor. Not just scoring, but he actually played defense. For anyone that thinks Travis Walkup is a player, let me tell you - he's a joke. The guy DOES NOT PLAY DEFENSE. Me and TxShox couldn't figire out who he was supposed to be guarding half the time, he floats around and basically cherry picks. Ron, on the other hand, plays hard on both ends. Ron will play in the NBA.

Also, Mock played a lot and was really solid. He and Ron and Walkup probably played some of the most minutes on the team. Going in, I thought Danuel House would be one of the stars but he was hardly noticed. Not sure what that means in the grand scheme of things, but I thought it was interesting.

A few of my observations...
Ron didn't start the game. The four seniors from Texas (Bolomboy played at Weber State but Fort Worth is his hometown) and Jaysean Paige did. I assume that was a nod to the game being played in Texas.
Ron played well and was a leader on the floor when they were in defensive transition, directing others on where to be.
Walkup is very skilled offensively but, as Dan said, on defense he would often leave his man unguarded to be near the ball.
David Walker, from Northeastern, has a pretty shot and led the game in points with 17.
I can never get over how Doug Gottlieb wears tennis shoes with suits. Such a Gottlieb move though.
There were an unexpected number of Shockers fans in the stands.
