        Another Senior game coming up...

Ron Baker declined an invitation to play in the Portsmouth (Va.) Invitational next month, he said in a text message.
Former Wichita State teammate Fred VanVleet is expected to play, according to Chris Ekstrand of the Portsmouth Invitational selection committee.
The tournament is a professional showcase for 64 college seniors, most of whom are trying to improve their NBA Draft stock and impress teams from overseas. Former Shockers Darius Carter and Garrett Stutz played in recent seasons.
This year’s tournament runs April 13-16 at Churchland High in Portsmouth. Evansville’s D.J. Balentine and Egidijus Mockevicius are also expected to play, according to the Evansville Courier & Press."

I wondered the same thing. Maybe he's got prior commitments during that time frame.

His record against Evansville is unblemished. Fred's is not. One more chance to set things right.

He's playing in the All-Star game in Houston 4/1. No reason an injury would allow him to play that game, but not play in Virginia later that month.

This is true unless he has some sort of minor surgery planned in between or something, but I would be more apt to believe he may have some workouts planned, or a camp he's signed up for or something like that.

I'll be there with my kiddo - should we organize a meet-up and cheering section for our Seniors?

At least with this team, they'll know what a rebound is and how to get one...

But they might kick the backboard on a dunk and then whine about being T'd up for it.

They have announced the teams for the NCAA all-star game on 4/1, and Ron/Fred will both be on the West team. They will be joined by Big E from Evansville. The April 1 tipoff is set for 4:30 pm CT, following the last of four open practice sessions and is free to the public. The game will not air or stream live, but CBS will have a tape-delayed broadcast at 12 p.m. CT on Saturday, April 2.

WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State seniors Ron Baker and Fred VanVleet will team up one more time in the NABC Reese's College All-Star Game, April 1 in Houston.
