Kelly plays with a lot of energy but thus far has little offensive game. Plays hard but a bit of a clunker out there. Like to see him "settle" a bit on the offensive end and relax. He always is rushing with his moves cause he hasn't figured out how to position the ball. Said Captain Obvious.

Yesterday, I was thinking about the early game start. For the players internal clocks, it was an 11 o'clock game. Considering that the time changed just a week ago, it may have been a 10 AM game by their body clocks. That's the time they're accustomed to going to classes, not playing games.

I was expecting a lethargic start.

After the way the team came back and made a game out of it after the disastrous start, I'm really glad I wasn't posting early in the game.

Why did Wessel get so many minutes? He was an offensive liability. There was one stretch where he played lazy defense and gave up a step back 3, missed a wide open 3 on the other end, then fouled somewhere in there. I get the love for the guy as he hustled and plays hard, but it seemed 4 on 5 with him out there.

Shocks represented well. Shaq Morris and McDuffie look strong going forward. Frankamp shows some signs, but needs to develop better with the ball this off-season.

There are volumes of debate about this on Shockernet. The detractors will point out his offensive deficiencies and lack of size. The pros point to hustle and leadership. Whichever side you are on you will find plenty of allies. Bottom line is that HCGM wanted him on the floor.
