All I'm saying is the brutal truth is coaches aren't lining up to coach in the Valley. I don't care how good our program is. And it is good. But we dominated the Valley and got a play-in game. Scheduling is impossible. But i guess if sunshine pumping is the only thing allowed here, then let me try again, "WSU is the best program ever. Coach Wooden is crawling out of his grave now to become an assistant coach here."

Anyways, Coach Underwood just took a power 5 job without hesitation soooo. WSU is phenomenal program but the valley is a major drag on us. we need to leave.

The fact that he took the OSU job proves nothing. Some thought that OSU would try to go higher than Underwood first. I'm not saying that Underwood would have chosen WSU over OSU. My point was that if the WSU job was open, Underwood would have been interested. WSU money would be competitive with OSU and our basketball program has been strong nationally. We are not compared with SFA or even other MVC schools. We hired Gregg in 2008 for 800k. He was at 1,8 Mill (competitive to any P5 coaching salary) before his current Top 10 salary. Would we be better off to be in a P5 conference? Sure. But for you to put us on the same level with SFA or other Southland/MVC schools is where you make your mistake.

Nobody is getting butt hurt. People are responding because you have no idea what you're talking about.

Brad Underwood was set to take the Southern Miss job two years ago when he caught wind about possible sanctions down the road. So yes, he absolutely would leave for a job that wasn't a P5 gig. Also, you completely ignored the financial aspect of a coaching move. If WSU handed out 2-3 million for Underwood, you're dumb enough to believe he wouldn't take the job? He made $347,000 at Stephen F. Austin.

Why is there even discussion about Underwood taking the WSU job, that isn't even open? This whole discussions is assanine. We have a coach that is more proven than Underwood, we don't want to trade him from Brad Underwood. Good for OSU and TCU, they both made major upgrades and should make these programs more competitve in the Big 12.

I don't agree with posts that people make on here and I usually just let them pass on by because they are their own opinion. Not right or wrong and sometimes misdirected :) but I don't think I have ever called anyone stupid or clueless. It is as many point out a message board and people are passionate about our Shocks. Unless the guy is a flaming troll but we have the Fev to beret those guys I think we should let somethings just pass. What would be nice is if we could have a "I disagree" or for those that are really upset a " I strongly disagree" button.
