My folks moved from Ark City to Tucson several years ago; there is a large older community there, so they tend to be nice people, and nice fans. (But I still hope we beat them!) Several asked me about "Play Angry", thinking it wasn't "a very nice slogan". I had to convince them it wasn't "Play Mean" but just to play focused, intense.

I think they'll see what "Play Angry" means tomorrow! (I just quoted my own post; what kind of loser level does that place me on?)

Gotta love some of those names -- especially Chance Comanche, which is about as picturesque as it gets; and Parker Jackson-Cartwright (three last names!). Thanks to our visitors from the west for their stopping by with some good info.

I lived here over 20 years now and I could not name 1 yes 1 AZ player. No disrespect to the Wildcats intended. They have a helluva basketball program! I simply don't follow them. Obviously a storied perennial power. I would most definitely consider them a Blue-Blood. Their the only game in town down there in Tucson. Terrific fans. Much like our Shockers...just in a marquee conference. I honestly don't have much to add except this should be a great game with 2 of the nation's premiere coaches.

Out and about today and a few Wildcats alumni shared that were confident in victory but know their gonna be in a dog fight showing tons of respect for the Shocker program. They definty think they kinda got jobbed having to play the Shockers in the first round.

Me thinks Arizona will have to play their best game of the year for a chance to win.
