Nurger was great! I was sweating it when Shaq had those two quick fouls, but RN stepped up big time.

Before tonight, it looked like Rano might have been on the outside looking in (if WSU was looking to add another big)
Tonight, he played like I think we all thought he could when he came into the program.
If he can put together a few more nice performances, it could do the world for him and his WSU future/careerThe Assman

Stat lines are for guys like Hairy Palm that don't know jack about basketball. Rauno was a huge X-factor tonight. I love that big line-up with him at the 4 and Shaq/Anton at the 5 against big teams. Tonight Evan and Rashard just weren't big enough against their big guys. That's not a knock on either of them, just the way it is. Thank you Rauno!!!"You Don't Have to Play a Perfect Game. That said, I would be surprised if he continues to fill this role. For one, we won't play a whole lot of teams with multiple 7 footers in the lineup. Second, this has been the exception rather than the norm. If he does though, I'd be pleasantly surprised.
But yes, he can keep his scholly. :wink-new:"In God we trust, all others must bring data." - W. Edwards Deming

Rauno is a very solid, versatile third big man. What a luxury to have especially considering we'll have to play an extra game to get to the sweet 16.
There are several posters who've been saying it for a while but he's really played pretty well this year considering he was originally a red shirt. His defense has impressed me the most, both in the paint and on ball screens.
Looking ahead, if he can improve his glass work he has the potential to be even more of an asset the next two years.
