Browsed thru the Vandy forum game thread. Most of the comments were they lost the game due to the refs, and Vandy is way more talented, WSU just got lucky. Weird those sound a lot like the comments from ISUr.

Guys, stand down on the Who-Is-The-Worse-Fan comparisons. People get salty during games, especially when things are ugly, and there was a non-trivial amount of ugly in that game. We survived ... hell, we THRIVED ... and we advance. Case closed.Comment

Actually, this may prove to be beneficial for the Shocks. Our underclassmen were clearly pressing and uptight throughout for about the 1st 30 minutes. Once Zach knocked down that trey they all seemed to loosen up. Conner with 2 treys, Markis with a trey. Conner hitting both ends of the technical. Big shots at big times. Rauno with perhaps his best game as a Shocker. Key sequence during the game closing run when Rauno got a block then hustled down court to tip in Ron's miss. Rauno knocking down two big free throws. I sure wasn't expecting a 20 point win when the Shocks were nursing a 50-48 lead but the Shocks imposed their will and Vanderbilt was a beaten team with around 3:00 minutes left.
Hopefully, that late close will carryover to the Arizona game.

Remember how our big guys are terrible and the entire nation is sure we're going to get destroyed every time we play a team with an NBA big man?
Cause so far we've won all those games. Rauno Nurger was better than any of the Vandy bigs tonight.
I suppose everyone will freak out about Arizona's big man, too. I know where my money is.
Some mojo was found in that second half, by a lot of players. Lots of guys did something in the final 20 they can hang their hat on. LYMFNH.Comment
