MVC Tourney - WSU vs UNI Game Thread

This isn't 2013. The entire basketball season across the country has been different.

FVV bad both games. Very little support besides Grady and baker.

Mcduffie defense was rough.
Shaq had some good times.

Bench wasn't good.
Coaching was even worse and it is ALWAYS bad in St Louis. Coach def proved right there that he wasn't the mvc coach of the year.

I think shockers are still in the tournament as of now, but they def hurt them self a lot.

This is why playing this weekend makes no sense. Should be playing next weekend that way only day or two then section Sunday. I think it's a disadvantage to the power conferences.

Many here will not want to hear this, but Van Vleet is just horrendous right now. He is selfish, refuses to throw the ball to anyone but baker. He does nothing to help this team play as a team.

I read a quote in a recent article where Van Vleet was quoted as saying, he deferred to much in the Kentucky loss because he trusted his teammates and didn't do as much as he could do himself. Obviously that is what he is doing now, not playing team ball and that makes him a liability right now.

He has been forcing a lot. I cant answer as to why. But it has been pretty obvious

So frustrating because there are games when the Shockers look like they can beat anyone. Then there are days like this.

Right now all lot of you look ridiculous with this meltdown. Coming down on Fred and Coach after the job they have done here; don't be so self-righteous.
We did NOT shoot well period; it happens. Sometimes at the worst possible times.
I think we do deserve a bid still - the Valley isn't as bad as most think. UNI, Evansville, Ill St. can compete with many, many P5 teams, especially the ones in the BIG 12 that is deemed so powerful.

We have had a rough season with injuries at what-not; the chemistry never really got going. Many key players are underclassmen.

IMO, the guys have not been having fun lately; trying to hard to win it for Ron & Fred.

Haven't seen too many smiles.

There is no need to rip on any players or coach.

Keep your heads up and Shockernetters don't be the meltdown board that you are always mocking.
