MVC Tourney - WSU versus LUC Game Thread

I wonder if a few of the Shocks were a little bit over-amped coming into today's game. Hopefully, if that was the case, they will be more focused and under control going forward.

Over-amped? I would say under-amped. They looked like had lead in their shoes. Loyola was hyped and ready to play, the Shockers...not so much.

Their suspension hopes are based on the fact that he said it on TV, apparently during the halftime exit interview. I really doubt that what he said was that bad.

In an earlier post Shocker_Torero got the quote from HCGM. To me isn't that bad he said it was a "tough call".

All this game did was make Marshall hate the MVC even more... Maybe this game will give WSU even more reason to leave.

The real issue i thought was Fred's poor play and foul trouble. The refs (and clock opporater) were absolutely horrible and did WSU no favors. Baker got a guy in the air twice who hit him on a 3pt shot and both were no calls. Every time Fred stripped the ball or even dug at the ball it was a foul on him. A lot of things going against the shockers. Last 4 minutes Ron and Shaq were aggressive and the refs let 'em play, otherwise we are screwed right now.

Ball was sticking in guys hands. No where near the ball movement we saw in the last 5 games. Now that the one that could have got away didn't, I expect a return to domination.

Gotta call myself out. There was a time not so long ago I would have been fine with SM packing
his bags for somewhere else, but I'm here today to say he has had a very good year, a great
game today, and has really helped this team. I surely hope he continues this upward trend and
makes me regret every negative thought I ever had about him. Way to go today and this season SM !
