Best of luck tomorrow. Not that you need it.
I don't understand all the hate against a team you have dominated the last several years. Seems strange and misguided to me. As great as WSU is why does a team like ISU bother you? Clearly you outclass us in every way. I would imagine we are at most an afterthought. Unless you all have Blue Jay withdrawal and are despertaely trying to manufacture conference hatred wherever you can find it. Makes no sense to me. But there are many things in life I don't understand and I'm old.
I think tomorow will be the most physical game the Valley has seen in a long time. The faint of heart prob shouldn't suit up. I don't expect the Birds to win but I certainly don't expect to be run out of the gym either. WSU is a better team for sure but after reading your board as I do I'm also convinced that ISU is much better than you think they are. Fortunately for you, your coach is smart enough to not overlook the Redbirds. At least not twice in the same month.
I expect a very close and hard fought game. Should be great for TV. One of these years I'd like to come out and see a game at your venue. Always looks great on TV.
Be well friends.

Appreciate the support after the plane crash, but I guess I can't get all worked up about it to that magnitude. I think both schools have had their fair share of adversity in the past. Hoping for a good game, no injuries and of course a Redbird win.

Try harder at what? It was a kick to the face. It was stupid, not a basketball move. Probably didn't cost us the game, but darn sure didn't help it. Once again.....if that kick has you pissing fire and crapping brimstone then cool. It works for you. If it's what helps make this a rivalry instead of good lcompetitive basketball games which I'd love to see more of meh.....I can do without the extra curricular activities.

Blah Blah Blah. They did this and I did nothing etc. etc. We sound like kids explaining to the teacher how someone got punched on the playground. Tomorrow is game day. The past will be the past and aside from motivation, it has no impact on the game at hand. Someone, anyone, please stay in front of Paris Lee. Even in ISU's poor shooting performance in the win this year, he consistently penetrated and created. Keeping him out of the lane is critical for the Shockers to be victorious. I heard Cheese Johnson talk about senior night and to paraphrase say, you have be careful not to try too hard and end up watching your senior night from the bench because of foul trouble. By one......over ISU....twice in 8 days = Happy 'hut.Robin Roberts: "My mother used to say, when you strut, you stumble."

I'm even more appalled by your fanbase's reactions to them. Maybe you should do some housekeeping at your own joint if you don't like the whole "rivalry" thing.
By the way, I wouldn't call it a rivalry. WSU has OWNED Illinois State for the better part of the last decade, and you can even go back to the turn of the century for that matter. Illinois State is no threat to Wichita State other than the illegal bush league maneuvers they pull out from time to time. I do admit that I hate everything Illinois State now since it's been revealed that the majority of your fanbase is trash, your coach is a b*ll-licker, and you continue to be an RPI drag on the conference - except for your Super Bowl, which you finally won for the first time in half a decade. At Illinois State, it's exciting to hard pick a player in the midst of an 8 game losing streak against said team.
At Wichita State, it's exciting to go undefeated in the regular season, move on to Sweet 16's and Final Fours.
I guess given the level of success and expectations at each program, I understand the different meanings.Deuces Valley.
