  • WSU Versus Illinois State Predictions and Pregame Discussion on Senior Day

Here's the deal. And there are 5 special and dedicated Seniors we will honor and forever remember them and their positive impact both on and off the court. How blessed we as Shocker fans are to watch them play for the team we love. On this day, have your kleenex tissues, your favorite Shocker garb on, your laryngitis meds close by, and your positive memories as we get our due reckoning we will take from these Redbirds.

On such a special day, the Shocks will be focused and ready. We will be led by our 2 All-American guards but each and every Shocker will be poised and ready to take care of some needed buswax and execute Marshall Law on both sides of the hardwood. The redbirds will not know what hit them as we light them up with a 22 point surpass. If you have any special memories to share about these 5 Seniors, we would love to hear it.

Shockers that know about Kung Wu warfare- 77
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Shocks by however much 3.3G wants to win by. I'm guessing 23.

**** the Redturds. My hope is that WSU is up by 40 with 1 minute left. Baker hits a deep 3 with 30 seconds left. Gets subbed. Then with no time on the shot clock, Fred buries a deep 3 with 2.5 second left on the game clock. Get subbed out for the 46 point win.

These players are pissed about the blown lead up there. Revenge is gonna be sweet.

        ... No really, deuces.

Revenge game. Senior night. It's gonna be just as loud and exciting as last year against UNI. Except this time, Fred gets his breakaway dunk??? They'd have to rebuild Koch Arena.

Ron B. ability to lead our squad this Season in both points, rebounds, steals, and stellar defense reminds me of Warren Armstrong's all-around game, and that is quite a huge compliment and well deserved.

Fred is The best ball handler and point guard I have seen as a Shocker player. He is our career assist leader. We have heard what is ballyhooed by the National Press on point guards, but I would not trade Fred for any of the others. Baker described him as "winner." Even when I watch FVV in summer pick up games, it was very rare his team did not win.

Wessel came up big last Season in the UNI and KU wins. He reminds me of the lineman in the trenches doing the tough things not noticed by the masses but yet it truly helps a team win. There is a closeness to this team and that is really important and not so common out there in other places. Our players and Staff believe in each other.

Wamukota also played solid in helping us win in the UNI and KU games last Season. When his number is called on as we go down the stretch, and it will be, he will be out there fighting as hard as anybody, setting picks, rebounding, and rim-protecting.

Mr. Grady looked finer than a frog-hair tonight. Our Shocks are still peaking IMO and when Grady and Shaq are both playing good inside, we are at our best. Never forget how concerned we were about his future health at the Tourney when he was injured, only to see him get back on the court to finish what he came here to help us do, and that is Dancing with the stars.

It brings tears to my eyes to think about this being the last home game for these five guys. I want them to get a HUGE win.

Saturday is going to be one of those games to remember for a lifetime. Shox with payback beatdown and the crowd will rival intensity of the FSU NIT home game several years back. Look for some new and exciting actions from the student section as result of three days camping/strategizing at marshallville.

I was just thinking we really could start all the seniors if we wanted. That doesn't usually work, but starting Bush and Anton wouldn't be that bad of a lineup.

If we bring "FSU NIT" equivalent noise, we'll need plenty of EMT's for the gray hairs.

Get the defibulators (sp) ready!!! Instead of a black out or a yellow out or whatever some places do, we should just do a "Stand Out." Everybody stands anytime there is game action and any other times it's called for (getting in the other teams head, congratulating and thanking our guys). These guys have given us their full effort for years. They deserve at least one game of our full effort. It's a Saturday afternoon game, so should be no excuses, and even if there are, it's senior day for what many (including myself) consider the best senior class in Shocker history, so your excuses are invalid. BRING IT!!! SHOCKS UP!!! LOUD AND PROUD!!!

Does anyone know if any of the media outlets or the university are going to live stream the post game festivities?

That sure would be a nice thing to have available for the those of us outside the 10506 that will be in the roundhouse.
