Based on his past performances, he will be a winner where ever he ends up. Best of luck, Coach.

I expect Marshall is here for the long haul, and not anywhere near ready for retirement...BUT...were Forbes to go to KSU, it would raise the possibility of a coach using KSU as a stepping-stone to get the WSU job.

          That would be interestoing.

Great news for Coach Forbes and his family! He's been a winner everywhere he's ever been! I thought he might be a good hire for MSU when he was making $205K, but at $355K, he makes $5K more than Lusk. Need $500K minimum to bring him over.

Who in the Valley would pay that (or more) for a HC? WSU, Bradley, probably ISUr and UNI...that's it.

It's being reported on the MSU board by one of their posters that PL is being canned after Arch Madness. I still think they try to get an P5 assistant bargain. BTW, they do have locker rooms now - no cattle - but they do have locker rooms

              Congrats to Coach Forbes.

Congrats on a great year!!! WE love Coach Forbes. Our AD is BT and he's made it very hard for a MM to hire him. Basically, his salary + the retention bonus = $382K + incentives this year, next year his salary + retention bonus will = 407K + incentives, and the final 2 years of his contract he will make $432K + incentives. We had 3 sellouts this year and we led the SoCon in attendance. The SoCon Tournament is this weekend in Asheville, NC and we have a great chance to win it. WE will be cheering for the Shockers as well. Good Luck!!!

Really great to hear how your program is flourishing over there. Wishing you and the Bucs a great finish to the season and good luck in the tournament!

Will the tournament finale be aired anywhere? Would love to see ETSU play if their games are viewable this week

Edit: Checked, ETSU plays Saturday against Mercer on ESPN3 (7:30 PM CT). Shockers will be well represented in this game as former shockers, Tevin Glass and Ri'an Holland, face off.

Coach Forbes is getting alot of media attention this week. Thought you might like to see a couple of the articles that have been written about him. He's very complimentary of WSU and Coach Marshall. Good Luck vs. Dayton! We play the Gators tomorrow in Orlando!!!!

Lone Tree native Steve Forbes has always been a "grinder." He has East Tennessee State in the NCAA Tournament, six years after being fired along with Bruce Pearl at Tennessee.

Thank you! Go get the Gators. I wouldn't be too surprised if you guys pull it off honestly. Forbes is a hell of a coach
"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

Heard Forbes on Rome just the other day. He had a great interview.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.
