Just wanted to update interested Shocker Fans on the success former Shocker Assistant Coach Steve Forbes is having at ETSU. We are currently 19-10 and 12-4 in the SoCon, with 2 games left to be played. We are 1 game out of 1st place behind UT - Chattanooga. Steve totally revamped our roster in a very short time and he has ignited our fan base and community. I've heard him speak very highly of his experience at Wichita State and how much he respects Coach Marshall. We are very fortunate to have him running our program. Good luck with your remaining games.

3G will continue to develop key assistant Coaches that will pay their dues and be successful as their chance to promote happens within our Program or they move on to take on Head Coach slots elsewhere. Steve was also very successful at the Juco level and his important coaching role here. Once a Shocker, always a Shocker!!!!!!! I wish him the very best.Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

While I don't doubt #G's influence on Steve Forbes, didn't Steve begin under Gillespie and Pearl before 3G gave him a chance to renew his resume? Just not comfortable calling Forbes as in the 3G tree of developed coaches."I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."
