It was hard for me to watch him on the bench when we were up 20+. It had to be hard for him.

If I had to guess, I'd suggest it could be that he was disappointed that all he got to do was throw a couple of bricks, and commit a foul.

For the record, same kind of crap from Jacobson. I'm way past believing he's the high-and-mighty super-classy coach some like to make him out to be.
        In fairness to Jacobson...

Last night there was a segment on Sports Sunday by “The Bruce”; he interviewed Jacobson, Lusk and Lansing. They all gave Ron and Fred very high praise. Jacobson had nothing but appreciation and admiration for both of them and said they have been the face of the league for 4 years… he was showering both of them with accolades. Oh, and he added that Evan brings tangibles to WSU that only coaches see and appreciate. I couldn’t locate the interview on KWCH? Maybe someone has access and can post the interview?

I wonder if his back was hurting so that he couldn't play?
"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Good question. If so, that would certainly bum me out in that situation.

Barry Hinson would have left the bench to go shake hands with those guys...kinda like when Eddie Sutton did that for Nick Collison and Kirk Hinrich.

I wish that Marshall would have let him play more than he did. I know he's not the best player we have but he's played a role on the team. Maybe he was disappointed. Maybe he was sad it was his last home game. Maybe his back was hurting. But I do agree he didn't seem to be enjoying himself.

I will say, I'm glad that he got to play with the rest of the seniors one last time at home. I was really happy to see them all out there at the same time

This piece may have been posted somewhere and I missed it but I thought it was a nice piece recognizing the under the radar contributions of Evan Wessel and Adam Wing for their respective programs:

(St. Louis, MO) – Senior nights are special in college basketball. All ten Missouri Valley Conference teams play their final home games this week and tears will be shed, memories recounted and standing ovations will abound. This is a senior class that will not soon be forgotten. VanVleet & Baker, Brown & Smith, Balentine and […]
