Also, did you notice the offensive elbow that Wing threw right after the half that was SO much more obvious than what Rashard got called for, and Wing got away with it. The game was poorly officiated all around, but the Aces definitely got their share going their way.
    It's a shame Wing didn't get Shaq-walled.

    • Ford Center record crowd. I saw quite a few empty seats, and i don't mean the blocked off sections.

      • I see from the above article posted by The 'hut that Balentine is 26 points away from tying Colt Ryan as the all-time leading scorer at Evansville. Personally, Colt concerned me more then than D.J. does now. Maybe it's because I believe Colt was a little bigger and harder to defend. Was Colt better than D.J. or is our defense that much better now than when Colt was playing?
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

        • The amount by which we actually won that game is pretty staggering, playing 5 on 8.

Basically everyone on the team was playing the way Marshall wants; and the way you win, and blow people out, in the NCAA tournament.

This is a really really good team right now. And there is still at least one more level they can definitely get to in the next few weeks.

Really glad the sophomore has figured things out in the last 6 weeks. Not only does it mean the ceiling is high this spring, but also for the future.

ESPN video recap - sportscaster says FVV was high with 32 pints. How many gallons is that?
I also doubt coach told him to take more shots. But hey an ESPN lady said it so it must be so.

Shaq and Brown have been playing well the last several games. I was hard on Kelly early, but lately he has gotten out of his slump and has really been contributing much more lately as well. Very happy with them. Rauno also gives us quality minutes.

                • Fouls be gone... This team's is amazing! They held Evansville to 8 fields goals through 3/4 of the game! That's insane! Enjoy the ride everyone!
If you're not going to go all the way, why go?

This was worth the price of admission. Shaq was dancing, messing with the student section saying "left, right" when he fouled out, and he kept pretending to sit down without actually doing it. Then, he got all the shocker fans to cheer right before he actually sat down. It was awesome.

Also, I assume it's someone on here, but don't feel like you need to out yourself. There was a particularly annoying Evansville fan in a white hat seated by the shocker fans. He went down to talk to some shocker fans. It's not clear what he was saying, but he was running his mouth the whole game. A shocker fan told him to sit down. Security came and escorted him to his seat. He, being a kindergartener in maturity, told security he was being bullied by a shocker fan. The security guard went to talk to the shocker fan who shouted. The shocker fan talked to him, shook his hand, and gave the security guard a hug. As the security guard walked away, the shocker fan gave the white hat guy a thumbs up. It was also awesome.

                    • I could be wrong, but I think our defensive free throw rate actually improved from the game. I believe we were previously dead last in the country, we are now up to 348th. 4 Valley schools are ranked #326 or lower. UNI is in the top 5.

Was it this guy by any chance?

Hmm... That looks familiar, but there's no way to be certain.

Colt had less help and had the ball in his hands a lot more. I think he was a better all around player than DJ, but DJ is a very special player.

It means WSU gives up the most FTs per defensive possession in the country. Which is laughable. People are going to be amazed when we beat the living shi# out of everyone playing 'big-boy basketball in the NCAA tournament.
