I'm pretty sure after Gregg watches the film he and his staff will "relearn them boys how to handle a press."

Why are scrubs in the game?

They are gonna shoot free throws or make layups every time down the floor. We have to fight and pick through non-called fouls on our end.

Fever, not trying to pick a fight so don't take it as such. I'm not sure if you were referring to our bench players at this point in the game but I have to say that I'm not sure we actually have "scrubs" on our bench. With the possible exception of the Bush brothers, Zach and Tom, I'm pretty sure the end of our bench is there because 1) they're Freshmen and have not learned the system yet and there are more experienced players in front of them, 2) they're walk-ons who could have earned a scholarship at another D1 school (and possibly started at some point) but opted to walk on to a team that has unbelievable chemistry, loyalty and talent and just wanted to be a part of it, or 3) a combination of both.

This team handled EU yesterday because of the talent coming off of the bench and their ability to continue to Play Angry. #lovethebench

Exactly. And while it gets frustrating to watch this 18-game shi#-show every year, I'm glad we continue to play (and win) through it. Because when March rolls around conference commissioners are less interested in keeping league races close.

Watching the replay confirmed my opinion that the game was over officiated, on both ends.
Another feather in Markis' hat is the way he handled the press. Unlike Zach who got rattled, Markis attacked. Effectively.
Shaq has very good hands. Now he just needs to learn not to use the on the defensive end.
Rashard still needs to learn to finish but did a great job hustling and rebounding.
Ron only took one shot the second half. Maybe it threw him off since Gregg started him when he had two fouls.
Might have been Anton's best defensive effort to date.
Will the rest of the Valley start using taller players to guard D.J.?
I know we all believe Gregg is fearless but I'm pretty sure he was afraid to pull Fred when he got close to 30.

The rest of the Valley doesn't have a 6'6" player that can stay with DJ, much less a 6'8" player that can stay with him.

It is also much easier to press a team with a big lead at the end of the game because they don't attack the basket when they break the press because they want to run clock. The pressing team can take chances that wouldn't normally work.

Exactly. WSU was looking to be safe, kill clock, don't force shots. In attack mode, they would shred that press with Fred, Baker and Connor.

Normally don't call people out or post pictures of them picking their nose but he hung his marshmallow body over the rail where our players went in and out and screamed obscenities at them that were neither creative nor effective.
He also dropped an FU unprovoked to one of our fans in the restroom.
