Gregg is establishing quite the coaching tree. I'm hopeful that we can hire "within the family" for several generations.

A SN tradition for me since I joined was to rush to the game thread whether we win or lose. 12 years ago or more I was on that thread at 2-a.m. in the morning on a work night on here talking with some of you after a loss dreaming of days like this. Thus, today, I forced myself to come here first. Why? Back then, fundamentals, defense, and the best of the best coaching was not as prominent as is now.
Let's start with our coaching staff. Coach Marshall has surrounded himself with Coaches that are so good at helping our players develop, can recruit with the best of them, teach the basics, and prepare us each and every game on what to expect from our foes.
Teamwork was rampant today. We have healthy players now and we will see if Shamet can also join us. This clip and thread reminds us of the vast importance of ball-handling skills. How do you keep turnovers under 10, even on the road? Ball handling is a great start. Many a player would have made the NBA if only they would have understood to work on their ball handling skills.
Before this Season began, the big boys from Alabama come knocking, wanting all of our Coaching Staff to follow them to their home. Not only did our Coaches stay, so did Baker and FVV. Yes, we took it on the chin early on this Season with 4 of our top 7 players not playing and lost 3 tourney games in a row. How do you like us now? Stay tuned because we are far from done because we devour adversity for breakfast and the best is yet to come.Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

I would not say that Gregg and Co. can recruit with the best of them. The last nut to crack is to land a 6'10 - 7'0" center with real skills. Even the presence of a senior year Paul Miller or Garrett Stutz caliber big on this team instantly makes them a legit threat to reach the Final Four. Even having Mock from Evansville would another dimension to this team.

Coach Marshall has even mentioned he has not signed any 5 stars and getting really good bigs is a true challenge every Season. Even so, our Final 4 Season we had Hall, Cle, EO, and Chadrack playing inside and they more than held their own. If you are not recruiting with the best of them, you will not be playing in the Final 4. Our recruits are not the one and done variety which allows our players time to develop and compete strongly when we play against them. Oubre left early for the NBA but a hungry Zach Brown, and a defensive gem like Cotton played quite well for us in that win. Wessel kept Perry in check.
Last Season at the Dance we were told our bigs would crumble versus KU's 5 star bigs. On paper, it might appear this fable was true, but the result was in our favor. From that team, we lost 1 solid big, added Grady and are watching Shaq improve as the Season continues. We really hoped to get Issac in here and he probably would have played more in the first 5 games here than maybe all Season at Kentucky? Who knows, we may have a nice Dance without as many talented bigs' as our foes will have. Look at our guards. Consider our overall depth. We may even get Shamet back for some minutes for a nice boost. We play solid defense which takes us places.
Next Season we are losing Grady, and adding Willis. I truly hope we find room to sign another Juco big. We are getting closer and closer to landing some really good big players. In the meanwhile, we will bring in solid players, teach them, and as they develop, they will hold their own against paper tigers.Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

The great part with Hamilton is we don't need a bunch of minutes from him. If he gets to where he can contribute even 5-7 quality minutes it will be valuable.Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind. ~Dr. Seuss

Kai,
GoShockers.com has been originating videos and then they are provided to ESPN for posting on its site.
Whenever I go to ESPN and view my favorite teams, I have immediate access to the GoShockers videos.
So here is my question:
Should I discontinue a posting of the ESPN video url on this fine forum, since the videos are readily available to anyone via GoShockers?
