Wow. Excellent recruiting video. I watch so many good players go to schools where they don't develop much. This is not the case at WSU and this video shows why.

Haier is a tactical and technical genius. We are so lucky he has been here working with Ron and Fred. He is like a master craftsman working with the highly rare or sought-after raw material.

It has to be very comforting for HCGM to know he could bust out for a recruiting trip mid-season, and have no worries leaving practices in the very capable hands of Heiar and Co.

Some very smart and wise team will hire Greg Heiar as their head coach someday and will have a gem. Greg can recruit, coach, motivate, and help players develop their skills with the best of them IMO.

Great video. With that said, I watched an additional video under the same link earlier that focused on our UNI game plan and break down. It was awesome as well. I tried to find it tonight, but failed. If anybody has a link - please post it! Thanks

And then a few years later, Gregg Marshall will retire from WSU and the Shocks will re-heiar Heiar to replace him.

Sometimes when they're given the chance to be head coaches, assistants turn out to be Mike Cohen; other times they turn out to be Mark Few or Brad Stevens. Based on everything I've ever heard or read, I'll bet Heiar, when his day comes, is more likely to be in the latter group than the former.

I saw a video of Fred a few years back when he was doing some dribbling routine with two balls, very impressive. I can see why he's so good. Rons ball handling has really improved over the last two years and now we know why. Cool video.

                          More more I want more.

WSU is very lucky to have stumbled onto this Guy we know as Coach Marshall.

I'll bet Cohen never commanded a practice like that in his life. Authoritative, direct, positive, and encouraging.

So if Greg would not follow Gregg here at WSU as head coach in 10 or so years, I'm wondering if there is a chance with all the coaching many of us do right here on SN, that they might seek out one of us for that job? No?
