Of course you were there and I’m trying to watch with a beer in one hand and a pizza in the other; and also being entertained reading the Shockernet ‘game thread’ on my iPad. Multitasking 101. So take this FWIW; I may be totally off base.

Baker seemed pissed about something after he made the half-court shot (I thought he glared at the student section) and that could have been the reason. Fred appeared to be having an interesting conversation with Matt Bohannon after fouling him on the 3-ball; not sure, but it might have been some ‘smack talk’ between them? Did Fred even touch Bohannon on the shot? When Fred was trying to run out the clock and swished both bombs, the earlier exchange between them immediately came to mind. The unruly fan might have played a part in the final outcome also… like “take that mother******s!”

I wasn't at the game, but I believe someone in the thread that was there mentioned that the student section was saying something about Audrey (Ron's Sister). No idea what.

Must have missed that comment while sipping on my 3rd game beer...

Just mathematically isn't this true about every team in the tournament, save the 1s and 2s? 32 teams go 1 and done, 4 make the final 4... 32>4.

Let me put my post in context. I wasn’t referencing the odds for the entire field 1 through 68. I was referencing the odds for supposedly elite teams seeing how many on this board seem to think the Shox are becoming elite. I’ve been pretty consistent that I just don’t think this Shocker team is anything more than a longshot at a national championship. Good, but not elite. The post I made last night was just one more way of saying it.

In my opinion, North Carolina is more likely to make the Final Four than lose in the round of 64. Same for Villanova, Iowa, Oklahoma, Maryland, and probably several other teams. I don’t think the same is true for WSU.

I didn't hear the chants, so yeah, if they were chanting his sister's name, that's inexcusable. I feel like family members are off limits for that kinda stuff.

Favorite play of the game was when RN nearly got rejected by the rim. It was actually a big spot in the game so it was good that he didn't, but man it was funny watching.

I see, while I don't have the same faith in Maryland that you do I mostly agree that group represents the top tier. I would suggest however that WSU is in the next tier down, where although unlikely, it would not shock me to see them in the F4.

I think the Shocks have a shot to make the round of 32.

Going further is problematic because of the inconsistent 5 play - offense and defense.

I've learned not to put limits on the Shocks. The year we went to the F4 most would have not thought it a possibility. This team can go on a deep run. I don't care about anyone's odds. One of your ELITE teams just lost to a marginal team at best, OSU by 20.
