If you're going to sag off of an All-American in a situation where you know the team has to shoot, I say you get what you deserve.

Plus, Fred takes that stuff personally.

To any uni fans legitimately mad about Fred's shot I say this...

WSU is trying to scale a mountain and repair its image as an at-large team. Thumping everyone in the MVC helps that. In a year where we didn't need to create a perception that we are "back" maybe Fred wouldn't have taken that shot.

We need to make statements. I'm glad it's a 19 point win instead of 16.

Agreed, we need the statement more than they need... Well they need the Valley tournament

So, we're we suppose to take a shot clock violation? The last three, if no shot was taken would have given UNI the ball with something 1.change 1.6-1.8 or so

Ummm. Wichita is closer to being a state than we are to being a mid major program. Thanks

Fred and Ron starting to impose their will on opponents. Nice game by Markis. Also thought Connor had a couple of really nice mid-range pull-up jumpers plus a great assist to Shaq as the shot clock ran down when the game was still in doubt.

If I don't see another cross court pass by the Shocks this year it wouldn't bother me too much.

Pretty good defensive game plan by the Shocks and well executed by the players. The refs certainly did not let the post players bang at all.

It just occurred to me that Fred HAD to shoot that three ball to beat the buzzer at the end of the game because after all, he can't let Ron get too much attention for that half court buzzer beater in the first half. It had nothing to do with the shot clock being ahead of the game clock by a couple seconds.

Any team that can make 3's like UNI, you don't open flood gates. We needed the Baker 40' make and that is a shot we will always remember. FVV always just holds the ball at the very end with a lead, but this was much different. Time was running out on both shots on the time clock so of course he shot them, just like UNI would have done if the same would have been there for them.

Is McDuff leading for mvc freshman of the year? I'm unfamiliar with other teams' freshmen.

He and Church from MSU battling with the Braves starting line-up. They're all pretty even statistically. McDuffie has the best combination of skill and athleticism by far.

People who equate shooting at the end of the shock clock with running up the score are panzies.

When the shot involved zero penetration, zero passing, and just merely pulling up for a deep jump shot, the complainer gets promoted to king of the panzies.

I thought Fred handled the hard hedge double team well. It isn't easy passing around two players (one being 6-9) from 40 foot. He and Ron both did a good job of going to rack when it was open. Ron looked "different" shooting the ball. He was locked in. The whole team did a good job of hitting open cutters when help D came over. Markis was...dynamic! Shaq threw it down a couple of times and did a great job of finishing. Conner looked quick. We handled Washpun quite well.

Bohannon is a nice player as is Morgan. Koch will cause us issues before he graduates. I thought the Panthers played pretty good D and the crowd was into the game. UNI is not a Thirsday night team.
