There were a couple of times that he dribbled himself into a corner and got trapped. It's kind of shocking to see that now. In addition to being a wonderfully gifted player, he's benefitted from some topnotch coaching these last three years. We have to keep in mind that the young guys coming up will be getting that same great training. Hopefully they'll use it as well as Fred has.
That was indeed an amazing game that the law of averages almost demanded that "no way you pull this one out." We did anywho. Everybody watching in the world saw the initial kick except 3 people and I thought one was gazing right at it. Later they corrected it as we won and the drama continued all the way to the dressing room that suspenceful game.

In the meanwhile, we also were on the ropes at Mo. State, down around 20 or so in the 2nd half way back when. We kept penetrating, the Bears kept fouling, and we kept making unguarded throws with the ticker stopped. We somehow made it to overtime and it was clear sailing to a win.

Last Season was it not Detroit on the road that had us down but not out in the 1st half by plenty? Carter had a very nice 2nd half and finally Detroit went cold and we defended better in the 2nd half.

Hope to see more road warrior mentality as we seek to put together a generous streak of wins as we fine-tune our dancing with the stars resume'. The cold and lonely road often times has twisted turns that only the best of the best teams can overcome on a regular basis.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Players come and players go and GM has a talent for selecting them and training them.

Just saying though that we should all bask in the sunlight for the rest of this year enjoying Fred and Ron, two of the finest players that have ever put on a Shocker uniform.

Enjoy the remaining short time we have to take in their excellence and keep in mind that it may be a long or a short time before we see again two players that even approach their excellence.
