Not a good time for anyone to visit us. FVV gets everyone involved again. WSU 76 - 57

I'm almost afraid to make a prediction based on the inconsistency of referees so far. If we see a Seton Hall crew leaning toward Nevada, too close for comfort, Shox 61-59. If we see an even whistle like the Charleston game, Shox 68-55. If we see an even whistle that doesn't have 30 plus foul calls, Shox 74-56. If the Shox get the officiating crew on their side like they were on SH side, Shox make Nevada cry, 92-50.

Now 3G will be searching for various different player rotations where we get the most ROI of minutes played. For example, peas and carrots go good together but not sleeping pills and laxatives? Likewise, with adding Grady back in the fold, is he going to get more minutes at the 4 or 5? To me, his natural position is the 4 and we could use more rebounding from the 4 slot. Or will he play the 5 and Shaq shuffles in and out with Wessel? Then, if we get Mr. Shamet back later in the Season, some more tweaking will be needed. A nice problem to have as we start the main-stretch to the finish line in March and we hope April.

            I like this rotation:
            PG: Fred - Conner
            SG: Ron - Conner
            SF: Zach - Markis
PF: Grady - Wessel - Kelly
            C: Morris - Grady - Wamukota - Nurger

Leave Grady Mainly at PF, taking minutes from Wessel. When we need scoring we have Fred, Ron, Zach/Markis/Conner, Grady, Morris on the floor.

I like this rotation, but I hope loyalty doesn't play more of a role than hot hand at winning time. If somebody is on fire, they need to be on the floor, regardless what their name is or what year they are in.

At the end of a game with a lead we need to protect and increase, I like this lissome mix. This same group could bust up a packed-in zone.

1.FVV 2. CF 3. Baker 4. MM or Brown 5. Shaq or Grady.

First, I want revenge for the 2010 Nevada squad beating us at home. I remember that kid Bobbit or Boba Fett, whatever his name was, killing us. They got two guys, Cooper and Fenner, who love to jack up the three - though they are not particularly good at making them. Those boys are shooters so lets hope the usual someone plays the game of their life against us doesn't happen again. We win by 17 as the home crowd reminds them that they are loved.

I was right there watching that NIT game at 21st and Hillside too and thus looking forward to a surpass Tuesday that we anticipate will be like a gift that just keeps on giving. Can u dig it??????? It was some tough times in the past that make these the times now moving forward, to forever remember in a positive way.

While this very Season does not follow the script many of us had in mind early on, remember this. The last time we were picked to finish 4th in the Valley, we had more than enough adversity to fold up our tent and welter away? Did we? No, forget about it!!! I think not!!!!!!! That was the Season we ended up in the Final 4. You know, that was the year we had these 3 Freshmen. Fred, Ron, and Evan are their names!!! Only 2 finished that Season on the Court and Evan's injury kept him off the hardwood but right there cheering us on. In the Louisville game, I often wonder if EW could have held the Louisville MVP to a mild roar in that classic game? Dunno, but nobody will beat EW in floor burns and FVV and Baker and Shocker Nation will welcome him on the floor with open arms as we continue this very Season. Too bad we did not also have football here because Cotton and Wessel would have kicked butt and taken names bay-bay if football would have been here at 21st and Hillside!!!

This team, this Season, is Not yet satisfied. We have not seen nothing like what we are going see yet, and That makes us understand, but yet knowing, we will get everything our team has to give.!!! The script is not starting the way we thought in the beginning. Not even close. It is what it is but am I worried? No, because fate will knock on our door no matter what I do but History speaks kindly of this bunch of beloved Shocks. Right now, I can't wait to watch the climax unfold because real life does not always follow the exact script we have in mind. Even so, fear not, because we have a former National Coach of the Year with an awesome Staff that will give us their very all in guiding our team to make it happen as we have a long way to go from here.

Grady---if you would have not returned to our beloved Shocks, but yet lived a healthy life, we would have been grateful and praising the Lord for answered prayer. Your return in black and yellow is a blessing that means a lot to us, as we understand that your dream is very similar to our dream in terms of Shocker basketball accomplishments.

Shamet--your well being comes first but understand this. We hope you can return healthy and know you will do what needs to be done. You are a playa!!!

And there were 5!!!!!!!!!! That is a Baker, FVV, Wessel, and Grady and Bush W.!!!!!!! You are our leaders and no matter what happens from here, all 5 of you are awesome Shockers--you give your all as much as any Senior Group we have ever had already, and we are right here with you every play, every game, and every step of the way. God bless you all and thanks for being special Shockers that we will never, ever forget. Cliff and AC were Bookend All-Americans as forwards. FVV and Baker are Bookend All American Guards. Our grandkids will get an ear-full about all 5 of you Seniors, and that is an absolute!!! It's what we do here on SN!!!!!!!!!!!
