Or games where the stripes are letting them play, there's a flow to the game, and games get over in 2 hours. There's positives and negatives to both. Just asking genuinely, because I've heard people ***** either way. What is the preference here?
I prefer my nieces games at the YMCA to last no longer that 30 min. If you could try to adhere to that next time I'd appreciate it. It's about the kids learning the game, not you and your whistle.

EDIT: I personally have never called MK a homer, but I know that he occasionally gets that criticism.
I would say that most broadcasters that tend to call the games of a certain team only can be considered homers. After all they are the designated radio announcer for the school or team. Kennedy for the Shox, Bob Davis of the Gayhawks, Mitch Holtus of the Chiefs. Being a homer isn't always a bad thing

Kennedy is a homer. Your play-by-play guy should be a homer. He shouldn't be completely blinded by it, but I want my play-by-play guy to be a fan like me. To me, this is why Kennedy is the best at what he does. I have yet to hear a radio personality come halfway close to calling as much action in a game as Kennedy does. Listening to the radio, I can play a video of the game in my head. The amount of preparation that takes, not to mention talent and practice, is phenomenal. Occasionally he'll go a little overboard on the officiating, but he's usually pretty good about moving on and calling the game.

I agree to a point, there are different levels of homerism. Kennedy does a great job. I am confident that if you heard the UNLV guys that you would not be happy. The clips I heard they were very critical of the refs. But yet again maybe you would agree since you say that the whistles favored the Shocks. I don't know.

          • Not to mention the defense rides Baker like a horse racing for the Triple Crown. No one in college basketball get beaten-up like that young man.

I think they take the top spot on worst fan base so far. Someone tweeted Conner making fun of his 0-5 day and calling him and WSU trash. I asked what that made UNLV then, and he went off basically bragging about their "real banners". I'm guessing he's referring to their NC in 1990 ... a solid 25 years ago because they haven't won a tournament game since 2008.

If WSU is trash, this would be a perfect opportunity for them to to go get their ****ing shine box and polish us up!

The best part is when he said "We haven't been stuffed in the first round since 2010" ... when history clearly disagrees.

Zimmerman isn't showing up between now and then. I'm still hopeful that health will and that the Shox can still be a single digit seed. Good things are still very possible this year, although I'm not so sure a national championship looks as possible as it might have 2 months ago.
I went from thinking "Possible Final 4 team" to "God, I hope we don't end up in the NIT" in about a 3 day span. So a single digit seed would be more than welcome right now.

                          • Dismiss the UNLV sour grape fans. If WSU takes care of business Saturday and beyond and wins the MVC regular crown and breaks into the top 25, they'll simmer down and finally concede that it was good to have WSU on their schedule.

I do have to wonder what happened to the stricter calling of fouls that was supposed to carry forward all season no matter what. This emphasis seemed to stop prior to the Orlando trip. It is not because players are no longer fouling as much.
The championship game had 55 fouls and 60 free throws. Just sayin'
