Some interesting news last night on the coaches show concerning CF and becoming eligible tomorrow. Apparently he only has to have 6 hours of his finals posted with a C average or better which makes him eligible for next semester. HCGM thought it was his English final he took yesterday. Interesting because it was the first time I heard about the 6 hour part on becoming eligible. As HCGM was leaving he stops at tables to talk on his way out with supper :) and someone asked him about Kellen and his response was he got to SMU and he missed Fred Ron and Evan plus home. He said he did point out to him that when WSU would be dancing in the spring smu wouldn't. Anot so subtle jab.

Actually per NCAA Rules, 6 hours is all you need to be eligible for the next semester

It's pointless. Moot whether he plays or not. Their team has talent and practices under the 34 banners hung for each win in 1991... All of which were by 20 and over the 34 greatest other basketball teams in college basketball history so their undefeated season will never be topped. That team was so good that it is creating a super hero like glow of incredibleness which surrounds their current team and prevents it from losing to other mediocre programs that boast embarrassing non-1991-UNLV-special undefeated seasons. Conner Frankamp's presence or non presence will have zero effect on the game because the chasm between that team and all other special teams for all other programs in history is so great.

If anything, I'd expect Frankamp to be ahead of the game academically. He's never struck me as a risk in that regard.

They've probably got it whittled all the way down to a "literal"system where they actually have those players complete six HOURS of class to be pencil whipped into "eligible." I could see a guy like Bill Clinton saying "I am 100% percent certain that my players did, in fact, complete six hours of courses and I was never made aware of any kind of academic issue." Meanwhile, some 23 year old graduate student gets fired for the oversight and everyone involved with the team keeps their jobs.
