I agree. I'm not convinced of this, but some might make the argument that Creighton has bottomed out and will be on an upward trajectory. I will believe it when I see Creighton actually play some defense. However, they've had pretty good success with recruiting and transfers in the past couple of years.

After reading the reports on SN today, I officially retract my statements about Creighton being on any sort of upward trajectory. Please put me in the "why are we considering scheduling a h/h series with a team like Creighton" category.

1) We have around 10 non-con games to fill every year.
2) TV packages already in place
3) They are regional
4) There is a lot of fan interest regardless of what's posted on SN.
5) Gregg wants it.

Do they need to be the "highlight" of our schedule? No. Are they a better alternative? Yes.

Those are all good points. Just kickin' myself for having so much faith in Creighton.

Schedule strength and entertainment value would be through the roof if these games were usually on the table.

It's been discussed at length, over and over again, but I'll never be able to understand why stuff like this isn't very common.

Valley teams beat KU 75% of the time. KU beats Big12 teams 80%+ of the time. If the team that owns you gets owned by other teams, it's probably best to look elsewhere for wins.

It may not be as difficult to schedule top notch teams starting next Season when Baker and FVV are graduated. I could care less whether we do or don't play Creighton, but I appreciate that 3G works hard at improving our Non-Con games.
