  • Series Renewal With Creighton

I would go for a HOME/KC/HOME set up.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

This would be awesome. Especially the KC game. Hope it happens.

A 1-1-1 against a 150 RPI team in which playing them is going to be their Super Bowl to end all Super Bowls. I would rather do a 2-1 against Omaha if we need a close road trip. If Creighton wants to put together a couple good years and show they deserve a 1-1-1 then I'm all for it.

And for the record, I'm not just slamming Creighton to slam Creighton. I don't think St. Louis deserved a home-and-home either. Might as well have put UMKC on the schedule.

Sweet. I'd love to see WSU play in KC again, and as often as possible.

A lot of what you say is valid. But to compare St. Louis to UMKC is a bad comparison. The Atlantic 10 is much better than the Horizon (I think they are in the Horizon). Also, even though St. Louis is going through a dry spell, they have been a team with a national reputation in the past. UMKC has never been good.

This year is the most down year St. Louis has had in a while. In the past, they were one of the gems in our non-con schedule. If I recall correctly, the year we went undefeated, St. Louis was the only ranked team we had beaten.

Unfortunately, we're seeing the effect of having Jim Crews as a coach. If Majerus's unfortunate and sad passing didn't happen, St. Louis would still be a very good team every year.

Meh, I guess if I had my choice of which CU to play, I'd take Colorado. And maybe make it a 4 year series, home, home, Denver, KC. Spread that Shocker brand a little wider. I've got a lot of friends in CO that are learning to love the Shockers. Not to mention that if it's not an ESPN game, maybe it gets on the PAC12 network and gets into a few more markets that we wouldn't normally be seen in.

I'd love to play creighton every season. Creighton and Tulsa are two obvious continual home and homes to keep running.

We are already starved for storylines and rivals in the MVC.

Creighton is a natural, and they are a Big East team, I too would like to get something going with Colorado, Pac 12, Tad Boyle. That would be a fun series. Would love to see a Oklahoma, Oklahoma State series also, that would be a nice little series also.

Agreed, except for the St. Louis part.

There are a lot better programs to be giving 1-1-1 series too though. Creighton is an RPI drag and isn't a name that grabs national attention. Kind of a lose-lose there. Although it would be kinda fun to wipe the floor with them.

                          ... No really, deuces.

Schedule strength and entertainment value would be through the roof if these games were usually on the table.

It's been discussed at length, over and over again, but I'll never be able to understand why stuff like this isn't very common.

I don't think it is a coincidence that this comes after Fred and Ron graduate. Don't be surprised if KU or K-state wants to play us again too.
