Not trolling, from a BB standpoint this team has problems, come March I'll eat my words if I'm wrong....which I hope I am, but 12-6 in the Valley is a real possibility. Right now there is no one in the post for an opponent to fear, not going to be a lot doubling down low which means not a lot of open looks from 3 for WSU....

Aren't you the same person that came here and told us that it was a done deal that Marshall was going to Alabama? You even told us the time that they would have the presser to announce Marshall as the new coach.

I don't think I said "done deal", but it was very close to happening, only a fool would think or say otherwise......but what does that have to do with the state of the team right now??? Oh thats right...nothing!!!! GM is a great coach and Im not worried about the programs future, only the teams play right now....Get over yourself.

These cop-out posts are so lame. You get to be the contrarian, which all of the debbie downers on this board love to do. If worst-case scenario happens, you get to say "I told you so." And, if Wichita State does well, you get to pretend to be a fan and act like you always hoped that Wichita State would win. It's a no lose situation for you.

I've seen the light, and I think I'll join your side. Illinois State looks like it has a better chance at the tournament than we do. I sincerely hope I'm wrong, but it's just the truth. The only reason I think ISUr might not win the Valley is because SIU is doing way better than we are in the offseason. UNI, too. WSU doesn't look like it could possibly finish in the top three this year.

Fast forward a few months, Fred is back, Connor is playing well, our freshmen have experience, and WSU is two steps above the rest of the Valley: "No one is happier than I am that I was wrong."

Your right, I suk as a fan, so how about this....The shocks have two proven guards and possibly another who we hope fits in to the system.... after that, their post play is awful and as is I doubt they win more than 12 Valley games....and I hope I'm right about that so I will look smart to all the blind idiot sunshine pumping fans on this board.....better?

Calling out others as "sunshine pumpers" and calling us idiots is not a good way to improve people's perception of you.

Yes, we know the season started out pretty horrendously. Yes, we know there are a lot of unknowns right now, but hoping that it works out doesn't make someone an idiot. Is it possible that we finish 3rd or 4th in Valley? Sure, a lot of crap has happened, and a lot crap could make it worse, but it does absolutely no good to get everyone all worked up about it, especially since it's far from guaranteed.

Not trying to argue with you, just offering a little advice. I could have taken your last statement far more personally.

I've seen in the past that FVV can make any post player who is alert (looking) and can catch the ball into a very servicable post player. I believe Bush and Nurger both can be that "finisher" of Fred's passes. If we are blessed with a return of a healthy Grady, I have absolutely no doubt how much he will benefit by having Fred feeding the post. Hamilton still has a lot to learn, but it is simply amazing how much better a post player can look when the ball is given to him in the proper position. That is true also for Kelly/Wessel/McDiffie on the perimeter or slashing to the hoop as well. I know it has done wonders for Baker at the 2 spot and will benefit CF as well.
