No team in the top 50 probably has 4 of their top 8 players not playing. Even so, as 3G often mentions, other teams have no sympathy for us if we play them. Thus, we will see how much of the 2013 History and magic repeats itself. No team will out work us. I love BWam's attitude and positive outlooks are of essence.
In 2013, we were picked to finish 4th in the Valley so we slipped up on some unexpecting foes with lots of close wins with true grit and warrior attitudes. No teams underestimate us now and all will take us seriously. Of course we had the defensive stopper Cotton, inside we had the beast Carl Hall and the NBA player now Cle, and Armstud training FVV. The quicker we get healthy, the better we will finish. A game at a time as we right this ship that has faced stormy waters and is now in search of more clear sailing as our injuries start healing up.
Back to 2013 there were 2 positive things that gave us a big boost at the end when it counts. The return of "Baker the Frosh. maker" after missing 20-plus games who gave us quite a boost. Then the emergence of Fred who paid his dues on the bench and stepped right up when it counted the most as a Freshman and placed his role off the bench as smooth as silk. We have some Freshmen and Sophs. that could do the same as the early Season marches on. Stay tuned!!!
One last memory lane visit to 2013. After we finally got beat in the Final 4, we witnessed FVV and Baker embrace walking though the tunnel. This Season, they will do the same but this time their games will be over here but their legacy will live on through the annals of Shocker History forever. Enjoy these special moments of watching these 2 All Americans guards play because they have done and will do everything they can do to help us win.
