That's hilarious. Probably planning a homecoming parade. I feel bad for Iowa basketball fans.

There were stretches of awful officiating, to the point that Marshall got t'ed up because of it. Iowa got the benefit of the whistle and blown calls.

It had no impact on the outcome of the game however.

Thanks for the pleasant response Fever. Surprised you're not all over me for what you say is me defending officials all the time. Without seeing the game I have no clue. I will say that knowing HCGM, he understands bad calls will happen. He generally doesn't get a T unless the officiating is consistently bad all game, or through big stretches. Sounds like it might have been this game

We'll have to actually get to March. We've won the MVC tournament once in how many years? I just don't have any confidence in emerging from that weekend unscathed.

How we play our remaining decent OOC games with most of the team back will go a long way. If we get Fred and Conner and start dominating teams, I think an at large is reasonable. If we squeek by, we still have to win the MVC

Take the high road folks. Fran left his players in because by year's end, the W over our beloved Shox is going to look good on Iowa's transcript. He knows that the Shox will turn things around when we get healthy, get a 20 point win on a high RPI team will help them.

Generally I agree. If we can get the Utah and UNLV games, that might be enough if we have a good conference season. We are a name brand enough now that we will be given some leeway. And anybody who is a general college basketball fan knows about the injury situation. It'll be taken into consideration with the committee. However, our room for error is pretty much nil.

Absolutely. If we win the Utah and UNLV games, I'm very confident in an at-large spot, given the injuries.

We're definitely not out of things yet -- but, like you said, very little margin for error left. We're not in a position where we can just say we'll get people eligible/back at some point and be fine. We can lose some more games and probably be fine, probably even eight losses overall and I'll still be pretty confident, but man, we're going to need a few top 100 wins in the noncon and a great run from here to be confident.

Iowa was handed 5 to 7 points during our big run that could have gotten us really close.

Haha, Fran was mad. Took all those minutes to beat a depleted WSU team by 20. Nice going Iowa.

I actually think if we totally dominate the Valley (I mean we we make it really obvious this is a completely different team) with our recent success the committee will let us in even if we lose two more in the non-con. Probably need 17-1 or 16-2.

Probably. 16-2 would put us at 24-8 going into Arch Madness, and you'd have to assume we lost in the tournament to not get the auto-bid, so probably 26-9 overall. We'd probably be okay at that point. But that's basically where our limit is now. And at 26-9, I'm not confident, but I think they'd give us a 12-seed based on the injuries.

But we're going to need some top 100 wins, ASAP.

Also, we have more losses, right now, than our next three opponents have combined. That means we have the potential to flip the script immediately ... and also the potential to be 2-6 by the time CF is eligible.
