    Los Angeles trash.

They are starved for attention. It's gotta suck to be behind USC football, USC baseball, USC volleyball, USC track and field, the Orange County Surfing Championships, and Keeping Up With The Kardashians in the LA sports pecking order.
    Deuces Valley.
    ... No really, deuces.

      - Saw nice glimpses of our old defense, but USC can straight shoot the ball. If we keep playing defense like that, we will hang with nearly anybody night in and night out.

      - BWAM really showed he can play at this level. Obviously he is not dominant, but could be a serviceable baller by year end.

      - Poor Morris is just physically and tactically too slow for Division 1 ball, right now. Hopefully by his senior year it will click. That's such a disappointment.

      - Baker was straight gassed with 3 to go. When I saw that, the game was over to me. He has to be able to rest and come back on the pitch for those closing minutes. JRS and/or T2 need to keep working to spell Baker without all the mistakes.

      - Brown is showing glimpses of what he can do. More of that please.

      - McDuffie is a stud. When he cuts out his freshman mistakes, oh boy!

      - Hamilton is a beast. I cannot wait to see him mature tactically.

      - Evan was much better today.

It was a fun game to watch, even though we didn't play anywhere near what we are used to seeing. The refs didn't call a bunch of ticky tack crap, so that was nice.

      Happy Thanksgiving!
We watched the same game today.

      • We're playing Alabama tomorrow and then either Notre Dame, Iowa or Dayton on Sunday. I hope the team still realizes the opportunities in front of them and understands we will need some of these wins come March.

        The cavalry is coming.

        • The other bad thing about this loss is we get bumped off of the ESPN main channels to online.

Glad to hear that about Eric. I have high hopes for the young man.

As far as USC players yapping at Ron, he's got to be used to it by now. If they want to yap at him some more they can get tickets to a Lakers game next year and yap when he's in town.

Relax, Prez -- the selectors will be abundantly reminded about FVV's absence, partly because WSU and others will publicize the heck out of it, and partly because of the record the Shocks will roll up once he gets back (and Frankamp comes on board). All will be well.

Just in general, too much panic around here. We have guys who aren't even Negative Nancys; they've transcended that and have moved on to being Nattering Nabobs of Negativism.

              • I enjoyed today's game. The fellas made some mistakes and didn't defend particularly well, but they played hard and the freshman grew up some. Disappointed in the loss and lots of opportunities for improvement, but a fun game to watch!

So the marquee game is in the losers bracket. I'm ok with this.

                    • I don't know. I saw better stuff today then against Tulsa. Maybe it was because I adjusted my expectations slightly. Who knows? Yes there were dumb and careless mistakes. But man did those boys play hard all the way till the buzzer. Disappointing, sure, but still proud of them all the same. GO SHOX!

Definitely better effort today, things just weren't falling into place

Yup and I bet both of these losses are top 50 losses by the end of the year

                              • Who wants to bet that Marshall will be pestering the hell out of Frankcamp's professors to post his grades 5 min after he hands in his final so that he can play Dec 9th?
