His handles are MUCH better than they were last year. I can't say if they're good enough to play the 3 though. OTOH, we haven't got much of anything from the 3 spot so far this season anyway, so I'm not sure it could hurt much.

I'd reccomend keeping an eye on it while the Shockers are in Orlando. From the 1st 3 games, his improvement is staggering in that regard. Night and day.

        Yes

With Brown moving to a guard spot, that leaves McDuffie as the taller option at SF. If you want to go taller than McDuffie, I can say with certainty that Wakukota is not a good option at SF.

This should be interesting. I think we're likely to see quite a bit of JR Simon this weekend.

Time to remember how to play angry. RB for 24, AG 18, ZB 13, RK and MM 8 each to lead
                Shocks 84 - 77.

Have to agree with this. His ability to get into the lane and do something is markedly improved. Not sure about his open floor handles (or Zach's for that matter).

I want Gregg to use every time out he has at his disposal. Keep Ron, Anton, et.al fresh over 4 days.

this is good time for Taylor and Brown to really get starter minutes and showcase what there about...I think changing the game plan to focus more on their strengths can do wonders for those two...Morris and McDuffie and Hamilton...at least one of them need to help off the bench

Time outs are a sign of weakness. HCGM

I know, too bad. There was a stretch in the second half of the Tulsa game where a time out would have been huge. Three subs sat waiting for the under 16 for about four minutes. Our guys were sucking O2 when the media timeout finally came at 12:59. In that span the game flipped upside down.

                            Interesting.

Posters out here were getting ragged on for their negativity if they even hinted that without VanVleet and Shamet, WSU was probably not a top-25 team.

But nobody jumped on Marshall for his negativity when he said the same thing.

I see a lot of teams out there with some pretty lofty pre- season rankings that haven't really showed they belong. Some have squeaked by and some have lost. Some are missing key players and some just aren't playing as well as they were predicted. Some teams weren't on the radar and have started out hot and have shot into the rankings. It's early, and its a long season, things usually have a way of shaking out. I will say the Valley has had a pretty good week, and even in losing ISUr gave the mighty Terrapins a scare, is that a good loss that will improve their RPI?

I watched part of that Maryland game. The announcers were talking about how Maryland doesn't really look like a Top 5 team right now because their Duke transfer is still getting acclimated to playing with a new team and the big freshman stud, Diamond, is still learning to play at this level. Sound familiar?
