Do you really want a list of the guards that haven't worked out? If you choose to look at nothing but what has worked, everything always looks rosy. I don't see where Hannah, ragland, and Armstead have any eligibility this year, and it just so happens that this year is the year we need a backup PG and don't have one, unless we take an AA and play him out of position.

Ty needs more experience running a team, but his shot is so smooth and he has profound confidence. His defensive positioning is poor, but that will improve with time.

Shamet has had plenty of positives paid to him, but one I have not heard much is about his defense. I think he may be our best on ball defender right now. His lateral quickness is very good and he keeps his hands up and away from the opponent.

Hamilton is a bit like a wild stallion. I love his energy, passion, enthusiasm, aggressiveness, and toughness. And he has loads of talent. He's just so wild he tends to get out of position. This will get better as the season progresses.

Outside of VanVleet, I don't think there is a player who sees the floor and plays develop as well as McDuffie. He's thinking a step ahead, always trying to make those tough passes to unsuspecting players who are cutting. His ball handling and decision making need to improve, but he is not afraid to try and make a play. As a 3 and with the new rules I don't think he looks like he needs to get all that much bigger and stronger. It's not like guys are posting him up.

These freshmen all have a ways to go to improve, but they have all the tools necessary to make greater contributions as the season goes on. It's just a lot harder without their floor coach to guide them right now.
MM is so quick to the rim, he just needs to not get excited and finish the play.

However, it seems like I notice MM most when he is out-of-position in the offensive scheme and clogs the movement. There is still significant learning going on. Wait til he hits a couple of three balls and stuffs off the drive, then he'll get that confidence boost that experience gives, and look out, opponents!!!

Wait a minute. I know how this ends! Doesn't their leader get beheaded?

Right, but you could still be authenticating using a Cox account. I tried authenticating to the game the other day from Houston, using my Uverse account from Wichita, and it wouldn't let me watch -- so I assumed that meant I had to use a Cox account to authenticate (which wasn't the case last year).

Follow that path on the right and the Win at the end is in a tournament that starts with a C.

                    • It'll be interesting to see where Vegas pegs this one. My guess is USC at -2.

Nice try, Aargh -- but you were talking about a pattern. How are those guys not part of the alleged pattern, notwithstanding their lack of eligibility? We all know guys that didn't work out who fit your description: Manigault, Holland, and Henderson come immediately to mind. But how they constitute a pattern and the ones I named don't isn't quite so clear.

None of it really matters at this point anyway; the goal is to piece together effective play from the guys who are there right now, and it's silly arguing about recruiting philosophy. You have your mind made up, and so be it. I'll move on.

Ron is best case scenario, EW is worst case scenario. TT2 and Brown are in between.

Well technically yes, but worse, drawn and quartered also.
