I'm happy with Marshall as WSU's coach and hope he enjoys coaching here until he retires - possibly turning over the reins to his son. He has definitely earned the money he's getting. He's not perfect. Like every human, he has made mistakes.

We got hit with an injury in the worst possible place. Any coach who can avoid that throughout his career is just plain lucky. That doesn't make Marshall less of a coach or reduce my respect for him as a coach.

The slightest hint that Marshall might be something less than a God is taken as heresy by some posters out here.

On the subject of PGs under Marshall:

He has been exceedingly successful in finding 6-0 and under guards that can shoot and run a team. He has been unsuccessful in converting longer, more athletic combo guards to the point. What we need is more 6-0 dudes.

I remember when Ralph Miller was tarred and feathered after the Shockers didn't reach the Final 4 in 63-64. They lost to K-State in a regional when they were a Top 5 Team and had a chance to win the National Championship. He left and went to Iowa the next year. We did reach the Final 4 in 64-65 with his recruits and then dropped off the map for 8-10 years.

No COX is not in the Denver area

Ok so this is a lil off topic,,, but I have found a way around the whole Blackout thing ( since I CAN NOT get Cox ,, but live in a Cox blacked out area) It does require a fee,, depending on how long you want the service. I went the whole yr service way only like 4 bucks more than the 6 month service. the per month is actually fairly cheep I shoulda looked at the tv schedule,, but the blacked out games are just spread out enough I said the hell with it and paid fer the yr. Not sure if I should post the link to the service ,or just tell people to pm me and I will give it to them.

I tried authenticating to the game the other day from Houston, using my Uverse account from Wichita, and it wouldn't let me watch -- so I assumed that meant I had to use a Cox account to authenticate (which wasn't the case last year).

Dunno, but Sling TV worked like a champion last year. I will register with it again if I can't figure out Uverse).

They do IP restrictions which is why that works. I log into ESPN3 on my Xbox using an xFinity account from my friend in Seattle. If I'm connected to my home network (Cox) it still gives me a blackout. If I connect my Xbox to the hotspot on my phone, it works fine even though it's the same account logged in to ESPN.

I'm assuming they don't block mobile IPs because they don't know the true "origin location" of a cell phone, just what tower it is connected to

I know it works , used it to watch the Tulsa game had to log log out and specify where I wanted to appear to be logging in from,,( it must have not auto logged me far enuff away from the cox blackout area the first time. So I CHOSE the west coast and it worked fine
