I am not saying it isn't happening it is just that in five or so years since he has been here and in my travels to see the Shocks have not experienced it. A couple of more losses like that of Tulsa and those corporate seats will begin to thin down and will largely be the folks above the entrance walks attending every home game. I am not saying I don't like the guy or that he is doing a crummy administrative job, I am merely highlighting a concern from perceived behavior.
My experience with Jim Schaus was that he was pretty aloof towards the little guy as well although I understand that you only have so many minutes in a day and you have to dig where the gold is. I still thought he was a great AD.

            • Sexton should have learned from the former University of Texas AD. If you make a little WUShock, you're going to make many people mad and they will protest. Think brand management, Eric, brand management.

Boatright was part of the small WUShock fiasco. He should not be AD. I will protest if he becomes AD. Next AD must agree that WuShock cannot be shorter than 7-foot.

Should we hire Paul Wight to come back and be Wu?

                    .

Exactly . . . We got to start thinking BIG. We're a BIG time program, so we gotta think BIG.

If Chick-fil-A is bounced from campus due to contributions the owner's foundation (NOT the company) makes, I will expect them to vet all businesses within the campus footprint and if any of them, their founders, board or executive team support any objectionable cause or organization. If any such donations are found, those businesses should also be banned from campus. Just for the heck of it, since logic, reason and common sense have disappeared from the university system, I define "objectionable" as anything that 5% or more of students would disagree with.
                            Winning. Post of the year.

Gregg likes Boatright and Boatright knows how to manage Gregg and get done what Gregg wants done. That alone should be enough.

He also knows how to get the big boys to support Gregg. That should be MORE than enough.

Now, this will lose some people, but more than anyone he was responsible for replacing Gene and hiring Todd. He WILL get things done and won't be afraid to make a tough decision.

He now has a family and ties to Wichita and every reason to make this a long term home. He'd be an outstanding AD.

                              • By the way...and just for thought.....getting back to @RoyalShock: and his comment....

When did "not supporting" something become hate? I don't support a lot of things. I don't support beets. I don't try to suppress anyone else from eating them.

And when did hating GACV and Christianity in general become "diversity"? Isn't that just as not diverse as the other way around?

There's a lot of screwed up in our society right now. Very, very little of it has anything to do with Christianity.
