  • We lost to GW, Temple and Alabama on neutral floors the last four years and none of them are even close to this Tulsa team at home. So there's that. Also we were lucky as hell to beat Hawaii.

With our schedule and a better league we could still lose 7 or 8 games and still make a deep run in the tourney.

    • Wow, 7 or 8 games seems a bit of an overreaction.

      • Lotta 24-25 years olds, with 90 game experience, playing against 18-19 year olds, with 2 game experience.

        Truly men against boys.

Coach Marshall has got to sit Fred, until he is healed. Those damn hammies take forever to heal. Playing and healing just do not go together.

Until CF becomes eligible, who else do you want playing when FVV comes out or is injured? Ron? Lets not play Ron 39-40 minutes every game, we need him in March. Let TT learn by fire until CF becomes eligible. He has to learn at some point.

I didn't read that as we WILL lose 7 or 8. He's saying we could lose 7 or 8 and still make the tourney.

Not exactly, lose 7 or 8 and still be GOOD enough to make a deep run in the tourney. That's what he was saying.

If that's the case, I misunderstood his sentiment. My bad.

I don't think shoxlax was necessarily predicting that will happen, but I think he's right.

Everyone should chill. It was a bad game, and a lot of factors just didn't go our way. There's tons of room for improvement, and I'm confident it will come.

EDIT: Someone beat me to the first part. Ninja'd!

Like I said, if I misunderstood, my bad. If that's the case, I agree. We shouldn't overreact to this road loss to a team that should probably be Top 25. Just something to build on. Lots of teaching moments on that video.

This had been my feeling all along. I am not putting last nights game out there as a basis for this statement but instead as a dose of reality. Our schedule is a ***** and everyone wants to knock us off to make their season.

So, does that mean you do think we will lose 7 or 8 games? Or...?

                            That was hellacious.
Taylor, Brown, Wamukota and Morris all got their share of hype in the pre-season. Hamilton too. They all looked like crap. Grady was a good buy low player. Shamet is still the real deal, but he looked like a freshman last night. If I'm grading out players, I liked Ron, Anthon, and Rashard. Fred's a warrior, but not superman. Landry was the next best player. Everyone else was bad.

Well I think that's true.. they have potential but we aren't necessarily the powerhouse we'd like to be. In March...hopefully we will be
Same here.. I saw plenty of signs that we were going to struggle, from the first two games, and people looked at me like I was crazy when I implied I wasn't 100% happy with the team performance.

Not trying to be negative, though. We have a great mix of proven, veteran leadership, and raw, athletic young talent. It certainly seems to have all the pieces of a team that could come together and steamroll some people in March/April. The other factor that works in our favor is that means they won't see us coming. :)

                              • For me, I'm not disappointed in the freshman vanishing act. I'm disappointed in the sophomore disappearance. The lack of a junior class showed last night.
