I'm not ragging on Simmons. I think he would've/should've gone pro immediately, but the NBA doesn't allow that right now. I'm also talking about the system. There is nothing to keep him in a class through the end of the semester. He may as well be somewhere working out with an NBA staff rather than wasting his time taking classes.

I know people want to rag on Simmons for this season and his situation, but it seems unnecessary to me. This is the flaw with the current draft rules, he has absolutely no business in college basketball. I wish they would move to a system more similar to baseball.

Exactly, what is Simmons incentive to work hard in the classroom?

I know if I were a 1 & done player, you wouldn't have found me anywhere near a classroom during spring semester.

Day started good with Michigan and LSU losing

Not the greatest that St Joe's won, but not awful either.

Need Temple and Kentucky to right the ships at half.

Later, VCU and SDSU need to win (unless @Jamar Howard 4 President: thinks it's better for Davidson to win THEN lose to St. Joe's)

Utah and Seton Hall would be nice for the RPI bumps. And of course WVU winning would be a nice personal bonus.

ESPN had an article this morning about LSU's "renewed at-large chances". They wanted them in SOOO bad.

A freaking 90 RPI team had an article this morning about at-large chances. That network should be ashamed. Even more ashamed than LSU's valiant effort put forth today.
