    • That right there is a near-perfect illustration of why the future is still incredibly bright going forward. A well-regarded 6'9" athletic beast takes a year at prep school and comes in playing like his hair is on fire.

      • Not talked about much, but I thought HP was well coached. Darren does a very nice job.

Not that you can compare much, but UMKC trailed the Sharks by 9 at half. As much as 15 at one point.

HP had a huge drought for about 7 minutes in the 2nd half when they scored just 1 point. That decided the game. 72-61 final. UMKC picked in a virtual tie for 2-4 of the WAC.

          • Watching this game makes me think we could go really big again next year. I'm thinking

            1. Shamet
            2. Brown
            3. McDuf
            4. Hamilton
            5. Nurger

Not thinking that would be the starting five, but HUGE compared to the Valley and big for most conferences. And if this was a starting 5, the second best team in conference may again be the WSU second string.

Just in the interest of setting the record straight, he had three treys @ SIU in 2013, but only did it once.
“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

Yes, that would be a big line-up; however it should be noted that Drake has eight players over 6-8, five over 6-10, and two over seven foot. Expect to see some tall line-ups out of Des Moines.

Wow...I didn't know they had that many big guys. But how many 6'4" point guards and 6'7"-6'8" two guards and wings can they play? I really don't know. If they can play that size at guard effectively, they would be more competitive than I expect them to be.

Expect Drake to go 6-0 to 6-3 at the 1/2. 6-6 to 6-8 at the 3. While your hypothetical line up posted previously has some legitimacy, I would expect that we will be 6-0 to 6-2 at the 1, 6-2 to 6-6 at the 2, and 6-6 to 6-8 at the 3. Size-wise we will be similar to Drake on the perimeter, and much smaller (shorter) on the interior.

Cool. Will be good for us to match up against some size during Valley play. Keep in mind though, I was talking about next year's team and just possibilities if HC3.3G wanted to go big around the perimeter. Could also go extremely small/quick if you went with TT at the point, CF at the 2, LS at 3, ZB at 4, and any number of guys at the 5. I am obviously getting ahead of myself thinking about the future when we've got this years team right now, but it's an EXTREMELY bright future.
