But Fred, Ron, and company will win games.
I agree for the most part, but Jans is also one of the best game scouts out there (according to 3G). He can glean information from watching videos of our opponent's previous games and pass that knowledge onto our coaching staff, giving them a better idea of a game plan to put in place. Most games, our talent level will be enough to crush our opponents, but there will be times where that scout/game plan could play a role.

You know what the best thing is about Chris Jans being a consultant? He can talk to high school kids anytime he wants! I imagine that will be an advantage once he finds his next job.

This. For example, we would NOT have lost to George Washington last year with Jans. We would've been better prepared for what they threw at us in the 2nd half.

Great example, that was the only embarrassing game I've seen our guys play. It was embarrassing in that it was out of character. A team that always knows what to do just simply looked like they were caught completely off guard and had no idea how to score against the 1-3-1 zone.

This is the advantage I was referring to with Jans on board. His scouting and touting opponent weaknesses is what has won us a lot of games. Fred and Ron may win a lot of games, but a lot of it has to do with their ability to execute a game plan...that is one of Jans biggest strengths.

Jans working with Isaac Brown and Kyle Lindstead on scouting opponents is a great thing for their development.

Jans taking some of the workload off the staff also allows them more time for player development and recruiting.

Jans will help and like I said, the best thing is that Marshall (knows him) totally trusts what he says. However, we had some holes on our team last year when we played George Washington. The same players playing the same numbers of minutes (check out who played before Christmas-no Morris, very little Bush, a lot of Kelly ) that they played during the Sweet 16 win. We were a better team late in the year. We played real well some games (Tulsa, Seton Hall, Utah on the road) and we played some bad games (Hawaii on the island, etc.). We don't have the same holes this year and we have a lot more depth. Therefore, we should be better prepared as a basketball team not to have the same roller coaster lows as we did last year although we won't play on an even plane throughout this year either.

Some of you are acting like Marshall, Forbes, Heier, and Brown didn't know anything about scouting the game of basketball, and now the Savior has come to us. We had a lot of experience on our coaching staff last year.

But Evan Wessel shouldn't play. Ask anyone.

Yes, because he is so easy to exploit by the opponents -- too short to guard their guys and too much of a liability on the offensive end because the opponent doesn't have to guard him, yet, WSU has, what, five....count 'em...five losses in games in which he has appeared. Just imagine what the record might be if he weren't such a liability?

Wessel was out injured in that game. It had a lot to do with why the team looked uncharacteristic. One less pure winner on the floor will have that effect.

You're previous statement you said "Wessel shouldn't play. Ask anyone" now you're calling him a pure winner? I don't follow
