Here is some insight into the JJ mindset, We were at LD stadium watching the baseball Shocks playing I believe Iowa when Jim Schaus brought MT into the stands probably just to show him the support a successful program could garner. I looked at JJ and knowing how he hates all things ku I asked him what he thought about the hiring. His response was " I don't care if they dug up Phog Allen and propped him up on the sideline, if he can help us win in basketball I'm all for it. So I think this pretty much summarizes how I see the CF dilemma that so many on here seem to be dealing with. I will take JJ's approach, if he helps us win games then I don't care where he's from.

If I dressed like you when you went to a baseball game several years ago he might get romantic ideas. Who dressed you in a mesh tank top and running shorts with the wind chill in the teens? And I always thought you were a smart man.

For me, the only thing worse than KU are ignorant people which I will freely admit that being from KU makes one more likely to be afflicted. JJ seems to usually have that affliction too (as do I on a lesser basis). lol

It takes quite a man to wear thin running shorts, a cut off top and headband to a Shocker game when it is 45 degrees.

Yeah, I guess that about does it. Excuse the lack of grammar/structure.
The reason you may have been mocked for this viewpoint is because it is 90% assumption and speculation. It's a narrative you wrote based on a handful of facts and gossip.

Ricky Ross was a ballhog who was showered with hot dogs by the rowdies at KState, too. I may not be in love with Silo Tech, but I really liked it when they did that one as well as shooting the cap guns when Stipanovich (Missouri) shot free throws.

I actually played against Ricky in HS (I'm sure he remembers me holding him to 40 pts! LOL). He was an NBA'r for sure, had he not screwed up. Better than Aubrey. Not the same style, but CF is in good company with that basketball skill comparison.

I was on the South bench when Ross out scored Southeast 46-45. Kahn has no idea what he is talking about with the term ball hog. Ross was second in assists at South. When you had PG's like Michael Sims and Chris Bullock, that is saying something.

ricky ross, like conner frankamp, was a highly regarded mcdonald's all-american wichita kid who chose ku out of high school and ended up transferring to wichita state. it's too bad that he couldn't maintain his grades in the classroom.. and it's too bad that wichita state ended up on probation anyway.

While that may have been true while he was in high school, it certainly wasn't true during his time at KU. I remember Ricky but I never got to see him in HS (I hung out with Laverne Smith because my best friend's dad was assistant football coach @ Southeast. He was another gifted athelete and had the biggest thighs I had ever seen on a man to this day)

I still think it was a funny story.

Are you saying that it would be enticing for Conner to stick it up Bill's ass by making himself into a pro at Wichita State?

Ricky was one of the best high school passers I have ever seen. Completely could sense a double team was coming before it happened.
