Sorry, Northwestern wins that one. Creighton is still second best at everything they try.

Not me. That was all you diehard manual clickers. And I am guessing Moose.

But that's only one case where there would be high expectations I guess.
FIFY. That game shows what happens when a team that doesn't play defense has a bad shooting night.

and Baylor wasn't a good team either. They got majorly exposed. Losing at all would have been a flop. Losing the way they did was something different, and I don't even know what word to call it.

                • I just remembered which poll they would win!

They would win this one emphatically. They would win the poll for the team with the most fans that witnessed home losses in over a decade.

..."the Bluejays became the first team to average 17,000+ fans, despite finishing with a losing record, since Louisville in 2000-01."

The Creighton Men's Basketball team ranked sixth nationally in average home attendance in 2014-15, according to official NCAA totals released on Monday.

That game outcome was the only thing that could somewhat cheer me up on that long, sad drive home from St. Louis.

                    • And just because I can, I did the research. Creighton was worse than that Louisville team.

Creighton in 2014-15 averaged 17,896 fans with a record of 14-19 and an RPI of 157 (more fans witnessing a worse team)
Louisville in 2000-01 averaged 17,443 fans with a record of 12-19 and an RPI of 123 (fewer fans witnessing a slightly better team)

Creighton wins...or loses...however you want to look at it.

                      • I'd lump Missouri in with the group of "all under performers" category.

I know that has to be the number of "sold tickets"...the few games I saw on FS-OCHO before they decided to drop Creighton games looked extremely empty. I might be crazy, but do the fans in that article picture appear to be wearing RED? Had the Creighton fans already given up on basketball and moved on to Spring football?

But all that aside, I found a new respect for Creighton fans in Omaha when they cheered us on against KU and some nice old couple (Creighton alums) sold me their tickets to the KU vs WSU game below face because they "liked WSU and hated KU".

Yep, the Tiggers are the Power 5 equivalent to Creighton, in a multitude of contexts.

I believe the "red" is actually pink, and is a breast cancer awareness thing, but yes, the spectator density in the picture is terrible, and it is clear there is a game in progress. Whomever wrote that PR piece obviously picked a pretty poor picture to represent an attendance record, because it appears that only about 75% of the seats are filled, and that's just the lower bowl.

Yeah @SHOCKvalue beat me to it, but that was indeed one of their annual Breast Cancer Awareness games where a freak camera shot outed McDermott as the Sith apprentice we always knew he was (is that a Sith Master in the audience laughing ["Always two there are..."] ?):
